Bounties - Are you a wanted criminal?

*Update: I had multiple fines turn into a bounty of a few million, but I had another player use a KWS on me and then blow up my Sidey and It cleared my bounty.*

**Side note: One of the minor factions that had given me fines in excess of 4 million that turned into a bounty of an equal amount only payed the max of 1 million to the player that killed me.**

So it sounds like they limit the bounty amount for other players to curb the chance of abuse by racking up massive bounties KSing then rinse and repeat to get the $$ for bigger ships quickly?

Yes, 1.3 did set limits on the bounties to 1 million per minor faction to shit down people bounty farming. This was part of the Crimes and Punishment discussion on the main forum.
