I think I misread that the first time and was just about to argue. ;)

I think he must like the ED Tracker for ED, but doesn't see the need for the 6 DoF of Track IR in ED. As FD severely limits the 6 DoF, I can agree with this completely - it offers very little extra compared to 3 Dof. I believe the 6 DoF is unlimited in VR, so that will be another matter altogether. I certainly would have tried an ED Tracker Pro if it was available at the time, but it was only a home brew kit that I didn't want to mess with.
It's time to give this another go.

Destroyed a Conflict Zone with Jack Dunhill, Ghost00 and Kvoron Vitanus. Now jamming away at the Bounty Hunting Community Goal at Morrina and meeting lots of fellow Bounty Hunters. Wheeee.

It sure was lots of fun and i almost felt sorry for the enemy. We had really effective wing again.

Im going to go back to Morrina today, glad to hear there is lots of commanders to wing up with. Is there any particular system that has a good haz rez or comp nav beacon to make those alliance bountys?

Oh and im really starting to think that im going to abandon the quest for Prismatics, i have tried to find a way to use them and still keep the huge plasma accelerators but it's seems it's not possible. Now the only question is should i quit PP completely or switch to Arissa Lavigny-Duval to get that juicy bounty bonus..

With prismatics i could have had 2,117 MJ shield strengh but i think im going to settle for the 1.718 MJ i now have.
Taking those dual plasmas and switching them to large pulses just feels like taking the teeth out of my Vette.

Congrats on gaining rank DelayedReaction! :)

Just to add to this debate....

As Lori already mentioned I have TrackIR which I use in ED...But it was bought for DCS A-10C where 6 DOF are all used......

You can shift to the side and move forward to get a better/bigger look at your MFD and you can raise up and look down to get a better look out of the cockpit.....

In ED this is not possible, so I would say ED Tracker is your best/cheapest bet unless you are going to use it for a game/program that fully implements 6 DOF....

Lori loves the ED and we talked Dawg into getting one and he virtually had an orgasm when he got it set up....And then proceeded to bleat on about it for months

When I discovered head tracking I built my own, using a webcam....A coathanger....Some IR LEDs and a battery box....For the pricey sum of about £6.....I used Freetrack software and it worked well.......BUT when I switched to TrackIR it was in a different league...Tracking was smoother and the software can be tweaked to hell to get it just how you want it...I love it and it is a game changer......

My 2Cents.......

If you do a good amount of RES hunting and CZ combat, then switching to ALD would be worth it. This week she's #2, so I'm getting a 40% bonus on every kill. At minimum, we get 20% bonuses when she's not in the top three. It adds up. 8-)

Indeed, just as JohnLuke says. I stay at level 2 with ALD. Her bonus this week is 40%. If you kill a pirate in a RES and the message says "100,000 CR bounty awarded" then if you look in your transactions tab it will show as 120,000 CR (default 20% bonus added), then when you cash it in a ALD system you'll get 168,000 (40% bonus). Easy to make a lot of CR in RES. That's how I make my dosh. :)

Welcome to ALD (almost)! Now you can join in on Crime Sweeps, too. :) Yesterday Charlie2Alpha and I ran a Crime Sweep for about an hour, and walked away with barely a scratch on our Vettes and 300 merits each (enough to sustain PP level 2 for more than 2 weeks).
