Actually now i'd going something i thought i would NEVER do. Im on my way to HR 692 to trade my "Space Banana" for Corvette. I realized that i can always buy the Conda back when i feel like trading or exloring and i was going to strip it for modules anyway.

But still feelks kind of wrong to scrap the old girl that has served me so well...

My personal feeling: Don't do it.
My Python, Lady Jayne, is still with me and she is the last ship I will ever think of selling. She ran Fehu to get me the credits for my Cutter. And my Cutter and her, got me the credits for my Corvette.

Currently, just joined ALD so that I can increase my bounty haul as I try for Elite combat doing Haz Res hunting in my Corvette.

Im going to buy Anaconda back at some point. Just now not feeling like trading or exploring so not much use for it right now.

Oh and i still have a Python and lots of other ships too so i can still do some trading if i feel like it.

Congrats! Hope you have fun with her. It's worth trying out gimballed C4 cannons on the huge hard points to compare with the C4 PAs. If you target a Conda's power plant (once you've stripped its shields) you can sometimes one-shot it with those cannons. Very satisfying.

Actually i love those Plasma Accelerators, i have had tons of practice with them in previous ships so im pretty good shot with them.

Today I have had my ship destroyed twice.

Last night I traveled 170ly in my FAS for a wing, figured I could take a faster way back by means of a u-haul.

Well that didn't work.
As soon as I jump into my home system I get interdicted by a PP npc. As I'm a non shielded stripped down hauler that ends in the predictable manner.
Inow a rebuy screen.
Second attempt I get interdicted hallways there but evades it. Only to get killed again in my home system...
Third time I figured I should have just gone with the FAS to begin with.
This time, no interdictions. .

Now you've got me worried about heading back into the bubble with 3 months of exploration data.

So why couldn't you just run away? And if you submit & have no cargo, do the pirates still blow you away? Shows how long it's been since I submitted w/o any cargo.

yep I see even more reasons to keep my Cobra III.... running and maneuvering is not just for fun, if there is a real bad azz after you.

Heading back to the bubble with Exploration Data is nerve-wracking.

I spent about 2 months outside the bubble. When I came back with my Asp, at the time there was a community goal for exploration data... so I had to actually make it quite a ways into the bubble to trade in.

I got interdicted twice, only escaped harm from one of them. When I landed at the community goal station I was at a white-knuckle 38% hull. If I ever do it again, I will probably try to arrange a combat escort to get back to the bubble.

Another smart thing to do when you return to the bubble, is to aim for a Hi-Tech planet on the edge of the bubble from whatever direction you are approaching. Land your ship, and upgrade all your equipment. Buy your shields, stick weapons on, upgrade all the components that you downgraded for your trip out. Then fly your fully-equipped ship to where you want to sell your data.

glad you made it back in one piece, it sounds like a nail biter!

I am glad to see this I was getting the exploring bug and will use your tips when I go.
That combat escort sounds like a great idea, I am sure many would help someone in your position, maybe a "fuel rat" with guns
If I ever get that much data I will send out a call before I get back.
