The thing with HIP 20277 is that if you bounty hunt in the RES there, you eventually become allied with all six minor factions. It must be an even distribution of pirates.

The interdictions seem to be totally random. I've been interdicted by a single eagle more often than not no matter which ship I am flying and my combat rank is Deadly.

The most I've ever been interdicted by was a wing of 5, mostly eagles which in that number can be pretty destructive as one or two will almost always have a rail gun or cannon mounted. I was interdicted by a wing of 2 Federal Gunships once while in my Asp

I discovered the hard way that taking 2 or more multi-find-goods&deliver missions is a surefire way to get interdicted by a wing of bad guys. Lost my Keelback 3 times yesterday when I did that, fortunately recovered all my losses ( & then some) today.

Each mission you take generates a minimum of one ship interdicting you. I really don't mind that much as its usually more money for me. The pain in butt part is having to stop and pick up the bounty when it happens or circle back on a different day just collecting the bounties. Which I do about once a week and run cargo or explore systems.

They really need to implement some kind of mass bounty collection. Not just so we can dock at random and get it, but at least to get all the bounties issued by that major faction (Empire/Ally/Feds). Also - I wouldn't mind losing 10-15% of the bounty just so I don't need to lose half a day running around numerous systems that give out a few thousand credits.

I just submit to interdictions, boost and jump. No matter what ship I'm flying. No bounties to collect, no time spent killing one spec on my sensors, just run and done.

But .... if the same little shit interdicts me twice in one system, I'll fry his ass every time.

Certainly was. Poor old pirates in the Haz RES didn't know what hit 'em...except that one time when about 6 NPCs in wings started firing rails and nothing was showing as red in the scanner...
