I found Dvorsi to be less than adequate for outfitting. While is is close to the CZ zone, it is otherwise useless as a base of operations.

HIP 21778 while a few jumps out from the CZ offers better outfitting, a turn in for both empire and federation bounties and it is close to a number of other control systems as well as the 15% ship discount shipyards at Kamito, Songballa and Vitra.

Yesterday, I reconfigured my Asp, Drakes Hind, to full on Explorer mode. Then I moved it to the staging area of Fehu. That will be my exit point into the great black.

It was a 26 jump back to my home station in a Sidewinder. I had my first drop out while scooping for being to close in the Sidewinder. Never happened before, except when being interdicted. I use the Sidewinder often enough that it is always fun to get back into. Miss not being able to use that ship for more.

I also outfitted a Ford Transit Van (aka:Hauler) for moving back and forth to Fehu. FünkenGrüven is it's name because I would prefer it being more like a VW Type 2 (MicroBus or 60's Hippy Van for those who don't know).

I am hoping to make my run happen later this week. I want to spend one week out at most for this part of my run to Explorer Elite. I am about 8% TrailBlazer now, so I figure I can make the next level with a couple of trips.

Yes, it does - normally I pickup tea missions then fill the rest of my cargo hold with tea. Didn't realize tobacco was a prized good too. Hoping the high valued goods bonus in Munshin (one of the Blue-haired one's control centers) is enough to make the round trip worthwhile. This bonus applies to everyone btw - you don't have to be pledged to AD as far as I know. LYR's equipment discounts work the same way (universal).

Dusted off my DBE and headed out. Going to stop at Merope firstly. Plenty of stuff to scan just on the way there. It's only 400lys from Azrael but am doing full system scans as I am in no particular rush to get anywhere. It's quite nice actually to not be in combat after the weeks spent in Exioce CZ'S.
I may head to the core. Not ventured there yet and I guess everyone should go there at least once.

Wish I could start trading again too, but that Cutter purchase permit is still not mine. One week of boring grinding done, I hope one more week does it, but I'm afraid it's at least two more.

I have a real life T2 VW Loriath and frankly it hasnt enough oomph to get up my hill, let alone climb out of a gravity well. So good luck with that.
