Way back when the game was first announced I opened an acct for that I thought to be for the forums. I created Cmdr Black Rose as my user name and I used an email that always use strictly for forums. Now, allot of companies make a user create an account for a game and another acct for the forums. FD does not do this. There is one account for everything, but I didn't know that.
Ok so I bought Elite Dangerous back in September of 2015 and redeemed the key on the acct I created at FD, the same acct I used for the forums and it worked. But then I thought I needed a seperate acct for the game so I created another one using my regular email. Now when I 1st logged into the launcher I logged in with the 1st email and I set it to stay logged in all the time.
Now fast forward to this passed Friday and I got the horizons dlc and I redeemed the key on the 2nd acct. as I totally forgot about the 1st
Now we all know that Horizons, as DLC will not run without ED base but all that FD could see was Horizons DLC on the acct and as such redeem code loop. Then when I logged off the launcher and tried to log back in I was using the wrong email.
Of course the 1st tier tech support couldn't figure this out even after I sent them both keys for the games.
At any rate it has been resolved and I am actually in game right now
Yay! As someone who has to figure out why computer stuff doesn't work for a living, I can tell you that it's almost always something dumb.

Kudos to FDev for getting their asses in gear and sorting things out though.
Now get out there and check out some planets!
