I'm fighting in combat zones at the moment. I find it a good way to test tactics against enemy ships and test different weapon load outs. I was flying in open mode a couple of nights ago in a zone with a federal cap ship (forget the name) I picked the confederate side and was joined by another player. A few of my cannon shots strayed and hit the cap ship. all ships turned red. I messaged the other player and said oops hit the cap ship and he replied "no problem mate, I'll cover you whilst you make your escape." Jolly decent of him and I was actually in open play

Hello,

right now, i'm heading outr for exploring. Next stop is Rigel.
Why Rigel? Iwas thinking about where to go at my first trip Last weekend i was out and saw Orion, so i thought Rigel - there i go!
Now i'm about 200 LY away from it. Maybe i'm going to visit all the big stars of Orion,

Hah! Finally found a station selling A5 powerplants, far enough from my last stops loading rares ... sold 'em and bought the pp plus some C5 thrusters and even got enough creds left for rebuy AND a good load of cargo / lots of ammo :D

Returned to my homebase in Empire space, will try bountyhunting at NAV and RES next ... to check if my loadout is as effective as I assume (2 class 1 fixed beams, 2 class 1 and 2 class 2 gimballed multis)

A slight misunderstanding, I hope.
When in a conflict zone, I never shoot at other CMDRs, no matter what faction they have chosen.
Only when being shot at first, I fight back to chase the attacker off - if possible. Never killed another player yet.
Personally, I would never, for any reason whatsoever, change side inside a conflict zone. That's just foul play.
But you were fighting against the Imperials in a conflict zone, were you not?
I was under the impression that you attacked me first, if not, then I'm truly sorry and apologize for any damage I did.

Don't give up on PvE just yet.

Then it is possible we have found a bug. I jumped in and selected the Imperial Faction, and was there for quite a while. There was a second Cmdr in there and all were green and allied to me. After chasing several smaller craft 10km out from the beacon, as I came back people had suddenly gone red. Now I know you can't change factions inside a conflict zone, and I had been very careful not to shoot anybody that strayed too close to my targets while firing.

I too apologies for being a bit of a child. I was annoyed because it happened an hour earlier, when two other Cmdr's also both green suddenly went red after vanishing out of radar range for about 5-7 minutes. Since that moment, I was keeping my eye open for player contacts and just getting ready to leave.

Quite understandable, I would have been just as upset.
Headed over to Ngayawang just a few minutes ago, and tested together with another commander, choosing the same faction.
After boosting out of range, and then back after a short while, we were still green on each other's scanners.
However one single hit from his lasers immediately made him look hostile on my scanner, while his scanner showed only red ships.
It seems that accidentally hitting an ally and makes you look hostile to all.
So it might not be a bug (at least I couldn't reproduce it), but a possible case of friendly fire.
Maybe it is a little harsh, but I think they could have allowed a stray hit without getting hostile.
So once again, I'm sorry, I have to learn to not be so triggerhappy  .

Hope to see you again out in space, and
Fly safe, Commander!

I think you guys should report it, because AFAIK, hitting someone by accident (that is only a couple of times while their ship is not targeted) shouldn't have that effect.

Cheers mate. Still docked out that way so will indeed be back out there maybe this evening. Work shifts have changed again so times now all different.

As Flip as will attempt to report this as a bug perhaps. Can you do this in game or is this a website only thing?

There's a link in the launcher that opens the support website. You can open a ticket from there.

Went for a rares run, was interdicted a few times. Nothing much exciting happening. Did run into one or two Mobius commanders. Sorry Cmdr Colonell, I only saw your greeting after we no longer were in the same instance.

Still saving up for the trading Python, I calculated I will need approximately 69 million to buy and fly it with the trading modules installed. That would make it a 280T trading ship. With Palladium as one of the cargo costing 14,000 a ton (slightly less I know) I need an additional 4 million credits to actually make use of it. Total needed 73 million.

I'm currently at 63 million in credits. Although I have a Type 7 and a fully equipped Asp, I don't want to sell either of them. I need 10 million more credits. On a good evening I make 5 mllion credits, on a slow evening it's half that. Two more bumper nights to go and I'll have the big ship I will christen the Princess Poppy (my pet rabbit's name).

Away from home and my gaming rig during the week (work)... but I'm struggling along with a laptop :D

currently trading with my T-6 in and around Rotanev (High Tech System- currently with conflict zones present) making about 1 Mil Cr a night. Updating INARA for my area takes a bit of time.... I screenshot with my smart phone then alt tab out and make the adjustments.... @ home I have multi-screens !!! :P

looking forward to getting home tomorrow and being able to chat with my fellow Mobius members on TS and hopefully adding a ASP to my fleet and a bit of RES bounty hunting

I'm finally back home after about 1 week exploring, about 10,000LY traveled, hundreds of systems visited - and I didn't see a single Earth type planet out of colonized space.

Anyway, the Asp's ship integrity is at 0%, which only takes about 24 hours in SC to happen, and they want 990,115 to fix it. The rebuy after I sell all the modules is only 232,665. I think maybe my Asp is going to have a little accident. Actually, I'll probably just store this ASP as my exploration vessel and not even take the insurance hit. The ship's integrity can't drop any further, but mine is still pretty high and I don't feel like cheating - even if the game is broken (hopefully fixed in the latest updates).

*** update ***

So, the good news is after upgrading to 1.1.06 the repair charge dropped from 990,115 to 3,424. The bad news is that I couldn't buy back any of my A rated modules. I had to fly around to 5 nearby high tech system to get everything back.
It's time to give this another go.
