Finished top 5% for the Pirate CG with 30m contributed, made 100m in total with the bb missions and reward.

maybe do a large long-range smuggling run, from Sothis or similar? i sent my two cmdrs on a large run each from there - somewhere between 30 and 40 missions per run - and both had a Fed Navy progression mission available at the BB when he returned home.

I have enough money to do whatever I want, 5 ships and am feeling a bit... meh right now.
I am not yet Elite in any thing but am close in combat and trading and in all honesty I will get there when I get there. I certainly do not feel the need to grind for the promotions.

How about some SSS? Grab a CMDR, wing up and have a look... But beware, some of them are a real challenge ...!

Are smuggling runs from Sothis still paying well?
Last time I took a trip there, there were hardly any well paying missions, let alone smuggling missions available.
Been hanging around Exioce and Azrael the last couple of days running BB missions for TOoM exclusively. Not many good missions either at Raff's or Miller since lockdown. So not making much credits.
Also been trying a rail gun loadout with Agni and Lady Jayne. Bloody fun. Used only a fixed cannon before and swore never to use fixed weapons again after a ramming incident with another Python in a CZ. But a Cobra with 2 C2 gimballed pulses and 2 C1 rails is alot of fun. A Python with 3 C3 gimballed pulses and 2 C2 rails is wayyy too cool.
