Last night I managed to buy my Anaconda days ahead of schedule. But it's the base-spec and I can't afford insurance. I could only afford to carry over two large lasers, a docking computer and my A4 fuel scoop, which is essential since it only jumps eight clicks at a time. Can't believe how easy it is to fly in and out of docks. Hate the shiny dashboard - I can't read the compass for the sunshine. I'm really looking forward to the process of gradually adding more modules, it will feel as though I earned the ship more than just buying it all cash up-front. I just wish I wasn't hostile in LYR territory when I go shopping for parts.

Congrats on your 'Conda!

Being hostile is, IMO, not a big deal at all. I travel, trade, and do all kinds of things in hostile territory. Sure.... I get interdicted in hostile territory, but I get interdicted just as much in my own power's systems.

Thanks for that, JL. I'm just about to start my afternoon session of grinding in my new tub It's ridiculous that people are allowed to own Anacondas - it's like having your own U-boat.

I won't be so windy about being hostile when I've got more than two weapons and I'm not 5,990,000 credits short of the insurance premium.

I'm 7868 ly out - coming in more or less directly from the bubble - just enough offset to be discovering new systems. Not going very quickly, though - you'll probably arrive before I do.

I gather there's a visitor's book somewhere on the forum. I'll post when if I get there - might be worth getting some selfies.

I'm currently up there, about 900 Ly above the 'zero plane'. I've been taking my sweet time scanning systems myself. Maybe we could meet somewhere assuming our paths converge. I haven't seen another player/NPC since last May
