My inner roleplaying voice explains the instant ship transfer to my outer RL self: "When we 'transfer' the ship, what we are really doing is copying the build. That copied build is sent to the new station. The old ship is salvaged and then put up for sale wherever it was. The new ship is built in the station where the pilot is. No magical transfer of atoms. Just a new hull with the copied upgrades." Now I realize that some parts may not be available on the market. So I'll assume they were acquired in the background from the nearest station where they are available. Personally, I'm ok with it.

I learned the hard way from Eve Online forums. If you read the depressing stuff it will make you angry. Even depressed.

Since I've gotten used to seeing the CQC rank bar in my cockpit and RNGineers.

Please can we stop with the 3D printing already? Its been a thousand years, I am sure that 3D printing is no longer a thing. We buy the bay with enough stock to replace the fighters. When that is empty, we restock.

The damn 3D printing idea is more offensive to me than the "Instant" transfer system.

Why they just couldn't have called it a manufacturing bay and be done with it. They don't need to explain the technology just what it does.

The thing with the instant ship transfer for me is a thing about believability not realism or gameplay but is it believable? And FDev saying your ship is "3D printed" feels to much like a cop-out, a mechanic to explain another poorly thought-out mechanic. It opens up to many other holes, why can't I just have all modules "printed" at any station with a shipyard - oh they don't have the license, but they can print my whole ship? - what they have the license to do that? Then why can't they get the license to produce one more? I'll pay! Or better yet sell me the license and I'll get the damn thing made!

Why have engineers now? The modification can be installed while the thing is fabricated.

It is just cop-out after cop-out as the original idea while good, is not fully fleshed out. Brooke's said as much, this was the easiest way and still be able to release in 2.2 or it would have to wait. I would rather wait then have a mechanic designed in a rush.

Hmm i dont really care about Ship-Transfer, sure i will save time if i want to hop in my Mining-Ship, but the best thing will be the "Shady-contacts offering to clear your fines or buy your bounty vouchers - for a price!".
No more fleeing from Interdictions just because i dont want to take a break to get the bounty at the nearest Starport in that aweful System i just passed

Maybe we will need 1 Modified Embedded Firmware for doing a Ship Transfer or each LY will cost (1.000Cr * Ton)

For my part, ship transfers are not a game breaker but I do think there should be some sort of waiting time while it is physically brought to you. I like smartroad's idea of being able to watch it arrive, that would've been cool!

Ship transfer was a feature asked for sometime ago. Although how it is being implemented may not be what people want.
The SIN broker is also something people have been asking for, me included, for sometime. I really like this idea, and have no problems with it. Perfectly fits in with believability for me. In fact, not having a service like this seemed a little unbelievable.
The 3D printing part is a bit weird. For the ship launched fighters, might as well just say we have the spares and capability to manufacture the fighters ourselves. No need for 3D printing. For instantaneous ship teleport, just say it's gameplay and leave it at that. No need to try and reason it out. Just ends up making less and less sense.

Think of the SLF manufacture as kit fabrication, that's why they are so fragile (Glass Cannons), you can throw them together in an instance but they don't last very long.
