Should Mobius be pure PVE?

After being destroyed by another Commander (in a wing of 3 mind you) within 10 seconds of choosing a side at the current community goal CZ last night, i have decided to only go to CZs in solo mode.. and that's a shame for a PVE group, its either PVE or not, in my opinion there should be no in between.

Not that it's happened to me but I can understand your point.
Nowadays I only do community goal CZs in Solo.

I'm torn. I fly a lot of CZs. For "immersion" purposes I would be a-ok with PVP in Combat Zones. They are conflicted space, full of opposing factions and the like. But then again - it is pretty darn easy to see if a target is AI or CMDR in a CZ.

We're pretty much all here to get away from the pew pew guys and gals that love to do nothing but attack other players, yet don't like the cqc for some odd reason.

Anyway, without the tools this is sort of moot as accidents *will* happen especially in a CZ especially when it starts to hit the fan there.

I had an incident this morning with another Mobius commander in a "security operation" (PP version of a CZ) in Hudson space. I sided with the opposition since I'm an ALD supporter. A commander in a 'conda started attacking me in my FAS.

Being in the home system of a security operation, I can understand that the commander wasn't looking too closely for other commanders on his sensor.

While being fired upon, I targeted him so that I could send a direct chat message while boosting away.

I quickly typed in "Mobius".

1-2 seconds later he stopped firing at me and apologized for not realizing that I was a commander and not an NPC.

My shields were gone and I took a bit of hull damage, but due to some quick communication, we were able to put a stop to what could have been a very bad situation.

If you are being attacked by another player, send him a quick DIRECT chat message. A 'local' message could be easily missed due to all of the NPC chatter in a combat style zone.

When I first joined I was fearful of hitting any target as I did not know at the time how to differentiate NPC's and Commanders. I thought I would do what happened to JohnLuke.

Issue I have with comms is not sure why but sometimes when trying to communicate the message to the other commander will fail.

Yep and also the other way...

I've had people comm me direct but have had no notification....

Only noticed when I have opened the panel and then I have apologised to them...If they are still about......
