Powerinf the fsd doesn't take more than half a second, or any other module for that matter.
Even when I have fits that doesn't need power management at all. You still end up waiting for the guns to retract.

The FDL isn't an upgrade to the Vulture mostly since the Vulture is such a unique thing. It has a much more shields and speed sure. But it pretty much only goes in a straight line. Heck I even think pythons out turn it.

Quick heads up that might stop someone looking like a dickhead......

If you swap an internal bay around.....Remember to redo your module settings....

That way when you open your hardpoints you will still have thrusters.....And shields......

And not just be sitting there like a twat with a bullseye on his hull.......

Just saying......Coz it happened to a mate of mine......

I could have sworn that I went to Pikum last night but I checked today and they did have what I wanted so thanks for that, StaticRadeon.

As it happens I had brainfade from staying up too late and it was a power distributor that I wanted, not a power plant. So no, Skipp, I'm managing OK with a C7 power plant and crafty power management. I can't imagine buying an A7 power plant unless I win some kind of space lottery.

Rodgeirr wrote:Hey Grifs.

Those are some good ideas. Your Vulture B concept looks like that's the one. I've been playing with fits for a while this morning (so much for work) and it looks like you hit the nail on the head with that one!

I appreciate your advice.

I agree that is solid info there, but I would also say that if you have the cash you could try this build I came up with a while ago.

This build focuses in on a few key strengths of the Vulture. First the time on target is high so when you are not shooting you are losing dps so I went with the single beam because the A5 distributor can keep it shooting almost constantly. The cannon is to finish the last shield ring and punch through armor when you have a clean shot.

I think the A4 thrusters give good speed and they seem to require less power to fill the boost gauge so you boost more often or it seems that way, I could be wrong.

Finally the A4 shield generator plus 2 small boosters has about 40 less shields than the A5 with one booster for the same amount of power, but the B5 shield cell bank has 5 charges for about 40% of the shields so that is the way I go.

Give her a go if you want, I milked every last watt I could out of the power plant.

That looks more refined than what I have atm, might have to try that later. :D

I'm unsure on how the thrusters affect speed and turning though; I haven't fully read this one yet. https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=182057

Also, gonna save up more credits from now on. Might head to Mauusk later for that combat CG. While there's still no exact release date, the Federal Corvette has been finally confirmed with more info.

The Corvette is the largest pilotable Federal ship, with some massive stopping power - two medium, three large and two huge hardpoints.

Edit; Correction:
Hey guys, really sorry but there was a slight error in the text description. The actual hard points are two small, two medium, ONE large and two huge. Sorry for the confusion all!

Oh I have done a lot of testing and math-crafting for this game in the past, but by the time I got to choosing thrusters for the Vulture I only tried the 5D and 4A because they were the options available to fit in with everything else. The 4A felt better but I was not recording so I am not sure if they actually are LOL.

The Federal Corvette is confirmed, but that is not to say that the Imperial version is not. Patch 1.5 titles "Ships" is due out after 1.4 but before Horizons so it will be soon. It is going to bring the playable ships up to 30. So with the exception of the Corvette I think that leaves a few other possibilities for very large ships.

my new commander sold a couple of Vultures and the T-7, went over to YLR space and bought a discounted Python, and set it up as an armed trader. it has 276t capacity vs. the T-7's 216t capacity, plus the ability to land at outposts and kill any interdictors

my other commander is still doing stacked pirate-kill missions in his warship Anaconda around the LFT 926/Nuenets area, after returning home from the Hutton CG

Currently I'm rares trading from Zaonce in an Asp. Usually do a circuit taking in Zaonce (and the Lave area), down to Witchhaul, Fujin, 39 Tauri, George Pantakis, Altair and back to Zaonce. In between runs I have a Viper that I BH and generally doss about in around the Lave area.
