As for PVP, I've kept thinking that it could be fun. Not like my experiences in open where my Hauler got vaporized by a Python, but a good test of 1 on 1 combat skills. But the the more I think about it, I think it would be more like a slug-fest where the one with the most SCBs wins. I've seen these types of matches on youtube and they are boring. The main problem with PVE is that the NPCs are pathetic and I've never found one I couldn't handle if I was in a proper warship (so T-9 excluded). But I still have plenty of fun in PVE where I see a wing of pirates harassing a miner and I have to figure out how to handle the situation. That offers a bit of a challenge that isn't boring, along with trading and exploration, that has kept me captivated for about 11 months now.
