What if the UA's are beacons? It seems to me they are transmitting either their locations, or the locations of the closest celestial body.

They could be sending out SOS signals, or calling in an invasion fleet.

I wonder if they're some kind of sensor net.

Interesting stuff.

If that is the case.. we should destroy em.

Unfortunately that doesn't really do anything. There are no known cases of blowing them up where anything interesting has happened. It just blows up and does nothing. FD says we're over-thinking it.
