Yesterday I saw my first Capital ship. An Imperial Interdicter. It was in either LTT 9810 or Cemiess and I spotted it as it was a selectable destination like the stations, outposts, planets, RES's etc.
It was very impressive.
When I circles it and slowly got closer I got a message that I was not allowed to approach it and that I should back away immediately. I did

It used to be possible to approach them freely, but now they become hostile if you do get too close.

which group are you guys allied to? alli, empire or indie? I don't want to be the only one in alliance if you all are empire as it seems?

I'm allied to everyone in the game, but my allegiance is to the Alliance and independent systems. I don't really care about the rapidly growing bounty on my head in Empire and Federation space.
It's a bit of a nuisance to have to blow away the local police force when I'm collecting cannisters, but at least those ships are master or above and that in turn helps my combat rank.

Still trading commodities as usual. I was docking in a station when one wanted guy in an Eagle suddenly rushed in and tried to kill me. Never knew that there were also AI pilots who would chase you down to a station.

In any case, he was ganged up on and taken of care of by the authorities.

Me and Flip still bounty hunting in RES, had some nice elite/deadly ship spawns although I've not seen a wanted conda at a RES since 1.3 was released.

When I saw my fist one, I didn't. I was sitting in my brand-new Cobra (after a long time of riding one of those nimble nimble freagles), wanted to get a closer look ... and crashed right into it ... damn those cobras are lazy ...

In other news, my combat ranking got up from 77% to Master (at the release of 1.3) to 78% after some low-level RES hunting, and stalled at 78% even after killing some elite ships. Considering I have stayed at Expert for quite some time, I doubt I will ever reach Master.
