Heading home, finally, 22 jumps it says. It's kind of nice to get into a region where other people have been, but kind of annoying, too. Not seen any traffic yet.

Changing my pants! I had a horrible jump last night. When I came out of hyperspace it was like I jumped through a star and landed in between 2 stars, the temperature rocketed as I frantically tried to steer away from the oven. I managed to get away with only 1% damage to my hull and between 1 and 2% on my modules. Freaked me right out though, as the warning klaxons were going off and the temperatures were rocketing. Anyway pants changed and onwards...

Well until they fix the bugs you won't be able to afford to fly it. My Anaconda is sitting in a hanger gathering dust.

RES Zones - mostly emply/dead.
CZ Zones - all harmless/novice.
Missions only pay 10% of what they state as rewards.

I got my Anaconda. In Groombridge 34 (Jones Estate) it was on sale for 142mill in stead fo the normal 156mill.
With the current hull integrity repair prices it is a bit expensive to run, but I love it. there is much more of a sense of occasion when entering and exiting stations. I feel I am drawing attention to my self :-)
I am now working on hoarding Cr. to upgrade everything to get a better Jump range.
I did my first trade run where I profited more than 500.000 Cr. from selling non-rares yesterday :-)

Just hauling stuff around as usual. Until I saw Frontier's announcement of restarting the servers in 30 mins for 1.3.1 update. I think I'll call it a night. :)

Well, with the new patch out and the payouts from the missions - I finally started playing ED on a daily basis. ATM, flying a decently fitted cobra (around 4-5mil Cr) and just doing assassination / smuggling missions to get myself up to a point I can actually afford a Python or a FDL. I know I still have a looooong way to go but I'll get there :D

To boldly go where no one has gone before, or at least they better not have! Off exploring.

After so long away docking feels odd. Flying something that is not an Asp feels odd. Seeing ships on the scanner feels odd. Fresh food tastes odd. Showers feel good.

Selling all my data at the community goal in Lembava and then I'll see how much is in the 'new toys' fund.

after a false start last night - flying to an extraction system then finding out i had no drones in my hold - i am going to take my newly-converted mining Asp out on her first trip and have a poke around, see what we can find

i was happy to discover that i can swap ships back and forth without having to sell off all the drones first - they aren't like regular cargo which has to be removed before the ship can be stored.

I found a sweet short route exchanging indebted people in boxes for very stable elements from the periodic table that generated a lot of spill over cash. the spill over cash was used to upgrade the core systems of Connie in order to increase the jump range and I feel better having a cushion measuring the insurance buy a few times.
Had a few NPC interdictions that proved the upgrades are nice for maneuverability as well and the NPCs reminded me of popping popcorn.
Now the hard question is: Should I stay on my comfy route and get more credit for upgrading or should I go help out the Utopians in Antal get enough metals to create their dream, or should I find something entirely different to do in Connie.

answer a question with another question - what do you enjoy doing and what do you need?

if Antal is a community goal you're referring to, in my experience trading goals can be good for getting out and meeting other commanders but usually you'll make more cash if you just stay home and work your regular route

---> built another Vulture - yes i needed another one - and my home base no longer sells E3 gimbal pulses, so i tried pulse turrets instead. it was like watching a drunk man trying to piss through the eye of a needle. they took almost a minute to bring down an Eagle. yuck. they had to go.
