i was hanging around Erevate, to give some free cargo to any newcomers who wanted a bit of a financial boost plus some practice with the cargo scoop (oddly enough i only saw one, just after i'd sold my load and was heading home. one in 24 hours)

the first trip there i made in a Vulture. anybody would be suspicious of a Vulture saying "come on over here, lots of free goodies, yes, come out beyond the fire zone, no witnesses out here..." - and a Python isn't much less threatening.

i thought an Orca would be the perfect ship for this, as it looks like a jelly bean crossed with a sex-aid - fun with a capital F and all that shit. but it handled like a Python, carried less than a Python, couldn't defend itself much, and the clincher was the jump range - less than a Python. so i sold it and took the Python back to Eravate instead

Did a few missions for the Feds and went from recruit to midshipman. Got my Sol permit. So I visited Switzerland but it was night time. Oh well. Parked at Mars and now it's Grilling time.

10 mins after I bought it.......I had to punch myself in the face......

Just to make sure that the moment was engraved on my memory so I would NEVER entertain the thought of buying one again......

Currently sitting at Beta Hydri debating if I want to outfit my cobra for exploring and fly over to Lembava for the CG. Haven't done any CG stuff yet since they were all too far away before. Now I can make it in 25 jumps. Anyone want to give some details about exploration CGs?

in the last one, the hunt for Halsey, you only needed to do a system scan - surface scans were optional which meant you could cover a lot of area very quickly. of course the current one may require surface scans, i haven't seen the brief for it yet

if you already have some data and/or collect some enroute, *sign up first for the goal* and then hand in whatever data you already have - it will count towards your score.

Sounds good. I 'm guessing anything I don't have system data for can be scanned? If so then I should be able to get a few scans on the way.

Reallocated to another area for another home base with nearby trading routes; still doing trade runs atm and trying to stock up on credits for future updates.

FINALLY finished being allies with all 3 mains, maxed ranks in fed and empire. Tidied up builds for an asp long range trader and rep builder, an asp long range heavy gunship, and a clipper to do short money runs. It aptly applies, So many women, so little time. LOL Can't wait to get a DB Explorer, gonna tap it out to do heavy system exploration in the core systems.
