It just means that you didn't know about it before. However, you can check your system map to see if anyone else has recorded it.

I just found my first Earth like planet with life on it (that hadn't been found by someone else).
Makes a nice change to all the high metal content and ice planets

I found one like that a couple of weeks ago. It even had rings!



I found it early in what I had planned to be a long exploration trip. Afterward, I really had the urge to cut the trip short and get right back to a station to sell that information before I did something stupid and lost it.

Fortunately I made it back.

2 cracked canopies tonight......First going single handed against a python......Nearly had him.....

Second....Musta had a minor embolism or sthg....Went (Single handed again) up against a wing of three...

1 Asp and 2 sideys I think...... Masters/Experts......All hell broke loose...But I managed to get 1 Sidey before legging it......

Oh and spent 1.7 mill upgrading my shield generator............
