Whelp I have to admit to my own stupidity. I know better then to do what I am about to say..
I was 300 ly out in the black, my wife called that she needed my help. Normally I would have saved and quit, but medication and maybe me thinking it will just be a second, I dropped sc and went silent running, whelp 15 minutes later come back to black screen saying ship was destroyed, roflmao. My asp who I have had for a while was no more. Lmao

Have you thought about buying the Python now whilst the sale is on but leaving it in dry dock (does that still apply in space?) until you have the required cover funds? Cheaper to buy means cheaper to re-buy apparently.

I feel your pain, but yes, I agree with the title. We tend to see shiny and get drugged by the new ship smell.

No, I am a little dry on the totals to even get the base model without addons. It would leave me strapped to the point that I would be limited to just being able to insure an eagle, and that makes it harsh to create more funds. If I miss the sale, so be it. I would rather have a big cushion of funds. I also blew a bunch on an Asp and upgrades. There goes 14 million like that! *Snap*
