Well I've made it back & question

Hi all. Still fairly new around here, but I've made it back from my first exploration foray. I have a question at the bottom if you don't want to read the whole post

Went out to the jellyfish nebula (wasn't too impressive really) and have just made it back into the bubble the other day. Was interesting as far as what exploration trips are.

I was really just doing a trip to satisfy engineer requirements, distance/rank bit so chose a system near there that was a bit over 5k Ly out. I did manage to discover some water worlds first and a few other nice planets I suppose too, all in all other than the bit of boredom it wasn't too bad. Also there is an asteroid base near the nebula just for FYI if people head out that way, forget the system but it's the only independent system around there so could probably find it with filters.

All in all I made about close to 70 million in data, got up to ranger in exploration rank too. I was also able to grade 5 farseer and martuuk with data selling, as well as get the invites for Liz Ryder, Marco qwent and juri ishmaak by selling data for rep with the factions needed. So in that sense it was very profitable and useful.

No on to my question after my return and engineer unlocking I went to set up shop again in Azrael, and noticed we are in a civil war. Couple of questions. 1 is anyone else there, or was there? I seem to only be getting outbreak related missions (from previous state) form the Mobius faction no massacres at all. Seems weird so bug or something? The other faction is giving tons of massacres though. 2. Also is just killing the other factions ships in the cz enough to help us? Or do I have to turn in bonds as well? I ask because I would like to use some bonds to unlock Juri ishmaak.

Yes, we're in Azrael fighting the war for the Order of Mobius. People may be in different time zones, or have split off into the Mobius Factions private group however.

Turning in bonds helps increase the Order of Mobius's influence. Handing in Massacre missions - even more so.

But your first point has me worried - before 2.3, there were lots of Massacre missions for the opposition but hardly any for OOM. As a result, OOM ended up losing the wars they participated in. While FDEV have capped the number of simultaneous massacre missions to three, the onesided-ness is a concern.

(For the record, I haven't seen a single massacre mission for either side yet.)

And yeah I flew to the various stations in system and mode switched a bit and it struck me as weird since a lot of Mobius faction mission were seemingly for the outbreak, aid, medical stuff you tend to see during that state which wa recovering. I started checking the other faction and have been seeing massacres on their board though and quite often.

I wonder if there is a hard cap of massacres on the board as a whole? Because there is (or was) 2 wars in Azrael right now. Forgot who the other two factions were. But near Azrael 1 was their cz's and Azrael 3 is where I found the ones with Mobius fighting. Maybe that is part of the mission issues? Idk.

Well I'll see about getting a bunch of bonds then and hopefully have enough to use 100k for juri and the rest for the war effort. I'm finding combat a bit tough in this game lol, but a slightly well equipped Fer De Lance is making it a bit less dangerous

Good news is between yesterday and today our influence is still quite a bit higher than the other faction so hopefully it goes well.

The mission board has been very buggy as of late, but I have been seeing quite a few assassinate missions and massacre in my board though
