Finally was able to make some progress today!

I am no longer able to target Sol at all but it is rather far away at the moment.



I am also proud to announce that I have officially crossed the void and have entered the Sagittarius Arm! As always Sol is denoted by the Yellow Marker



Now am approaching my first stop on this trip, the Lagoon Nebula:



Maybe tomorrow will bring a message that Anubis has landed!

We will have to see? There are plenty of other explorers even a group that are going as far as they can. So I think there may be a couple of legends to be made.

Well my choice of Cmdr. Putin was made long ago, not as a political statement but rather a statement on the personality of my in game character. Brash, ballsy, will do whatever he chooses regardless of the opinions of individuals or alliances...

I expected that there would be a name change facility at release but it was not to be and wiping my save to change a name is out of the question!

Welcome to this edition of Elite: Relog, where the transaction server crashes are hot and heavy!

Not much to report today since progress has been difficult to make, some strange worm hole is affecting my ability to travel and returning me to where I started my jump...

Anywho nobody wants to hear me whining so here are just the basic facts for today.

I passed through the Trifid Nebula this evening and am getting further and further away as time goes on:





Pro tip, when getting into dense areas of stars plan your trip one jump at a time, took over 20(!) minutes for the galaxy map to plot out a total of two jumps because there are so many stars. This image shows all of your options just 1 jump from my current system:
