What are you doing (ingame) now?

Well CNBs have changed a bit since I last did one (maybe four months).
Flying the Vette (The bad ship 'Irritant') I can just about cover one of the new Elite Condas or a couple of concurrent groups of assorted four pirates.

Last evening flying into a well populated CNB went slightly sideways.
Seven to nine ships (mainly Elite when I had a chance to scan) jump to attack which left the Irritant a little too thin to spread around.

So...

Any words of wisdom? I will up the thrusters to five but apart from that?

(I am running G5 HMulti, Cells and Boosters are upgraded Beams are but not too high (who does beams to five BTW?)).

Did they attack you unprovoked? If so, were you wanted in that system? If not, check your cargo hold. You may be carrying some engineer's cargo that you could have picked up as mission rewards, and NPC's will definitely fire on you for that. It's fine to be carrying materials and data, but cargo is ..... well..... 'juicy' as they keep telling us.

If you're not wanted and your cargo hold is empty, you shouldn't get ganged up on.... unless you attack a winged ship. Happy hunting!

Wow... I gotta say.... I am surprised that you weren't at least Tycoon ranked a long time ago, Flip. Not much of a trader, eh?

BTW, a handful of Sothis/Ceos runs in a conda or cutter will get you to Elite if you're interested. For some reason, the trade rank rep increase on long range hauls is calculated wildly different than straight trading. I reached trade Elite with only about $350mil profit from trading.

Just finished my journey in the void. Stationed in LHS 20, tomorrow i'll switch ship and head out to Azrael to cash in about 30 mil in exploration data and to start the engineers stuff, because while they came out i was on the opposite side of the galaxy..
