The GNE started Saturday and I'm one of the about 300 cmdrs that will arrive at Sagittarius A by the end of November. The months to go, possibly another three to return. Hopefully I learnt something from CNE and I'll avoid damaging the conda this time.

Dropped in and it was Empty. I was hoping it was a Weeding Barge that I could "Pay My Respects" with a "Multi Gun Salute" and some "Fireworks" but I was disappointed. Nothing there even after 5 minutes.

Anyone know what it is supposed to be?

Weird. I haven't dropped into one, but like you I would assume that it would be the wedding party. Maybe Kharma got there first and blew everything up?

On another note.... I was exploring the Western Beta neutron fields over the weekend. What makes this trip special is using the VR headset. If you own a HMD, you absolutely MUST jump in an Asp-X and go exploring with your headset on. The combination of the Asp-X's great field of view and VR are absolutely incredible. And.... if you run across a black hole.... oh.... my ..... God! Amazeballs!!!!!!!!!!!

Beefed up the Vette a bit and got a better roll from Felicity (after 5 tries) for a better jump range.

Pargy, I have more or less a similar unenginnered setup. The only thing that's modified was the FSD which was taken from my Conda and gave more or less the same jump range (approx. 18,5 max).

Is there a reason you have more energy weapons than ballistic? I have the same 2 class 4 Gimb Beams and 2 class 2 Gimb MC's, but I have MC's at every other slot. Guessing that you dislike rearming but isn't it a little too power hungry and heat inefficient?

I am playing this game for a very short while now. So i consider myself in training.

Only have one ship (Cobra MK3), insurance value around 80k credits.

I am preparing myself for a grand rare trade loop, wil take my time for it. Goal is to trade in ALL rare items, loop will ben about 6000ly. Before doing that, i need a bit more cash to be wel fit. Maybe i buy a viper in the proces to grind HE sites Ow and well, I will take my time with this loop anyway, maybe stick around for other stuff in some regions

Hardcore exploration, pirating or mining will be for later. I dont land on planets jet too and I have not figured out some of the missions (about killing dudes or retrieving stuff). So basicly, i am still learning this great game (not in the last place: the controlls on the HOTAS)

EDDB is great for commodities and engineer cargo (they use the same screen) here.

I also use EDDB to help me find engineer materials. I just type in the material on the top left box, and my current system in the 'reference system' box in the bottom right, and leave the others blank. The results are not 100% accurate though. Be sure to check the planet's material's list on the system map before landing and jumping into your SRV. Sometimes I've found the desired material on a different planet in the same system. Also, check the percentage. I'd rather travel a bit further to search on a planet with 1.2% of whatever I need than a planet that's close by but with only 0.7%.

I use Inarato access all kinds of engineer information and track my cargo, so that I know what mods I can do or what specific items (and quantity) I need before accessing that mod.

I have the beam lasers at the primary button, the turreted pulse (efficient weapon G4) is of course firing at will. The 2 C2 MCs (overcharged G5) and the 2 C1 Burst (Efficient G3) are at the secondary button.


I fire the beams till the Shields are down, and then both till it overheats, then I take my finger off the beams till it cools down and fire again.

With the G5 Charge enhanced PD it is easy to get everything down fast.

I do not like MCs much (too slow to fire need to reload) but the do chew up the modules fast so I have them there
