Beware of redirected missions

Greetings Commanders,

A warning from me to be a little wary of missions which redirect you to another location on arrival at the delivery location. I took a mission for just under 700,000cr to deliver 60 tons of Palladium to the next system over - nice! So I load up and set off. On arrival at the designated station, a blue message pops up that the mission objective has changed. OK this is new (I didn't do beta) I check my mail and there is a message offering 60,000 cr more if I take it to another system. Fine, it's just another hop or two so off I go. I arrive at the outpost and land but nothing on the mission board allows me to hand in. Uh oh. I launch, jump, jump back and land again. Nothing. I save and exit to main menu. Log back in and still nothing. I log out. Nothing. I travel to the previous location, hoping I can hand in there. Nothing. To test I took another mission which sent me to the outpost (the second destination) and on arrival I get another redirection ("no way" I think to myself) and ignore it, land and hand in (but the original mission hand in did not appear). Upshot is that I am 700,000 cr down with 60 tons of Palladium which I cant get rid of and gimped cargo space if I want to try and wait for support to sort it or I take the fine (800,000 cr) and the rep loss and lose the profit from the mission. . Neither is a great deal. Until this is fixed my advice is if you get a redirection, just ignore it and hand in at the original destination.

Time to try new skills:

IF the Palladium is marked as 'Stolen' in your Cargo manifesto THEN
- Find a starport with a Black market
- Stop just outside the No fire zone
- Line your ship up with the entrance
- Request landing permission
- Boost for the entrance and switch on Silent running
- WHEN you are in the station
-- Switch off Silent running
-- Land carefully
--- OR Wait until shields regenerate
--- Sell the Palladium in the Black market
ELSE
- Sell the Palladium in a standard Commodites market.

If you do get caught and pay a fine you might still make a profit on the cargo.
