Thanks for the reminder, Walter. I try to spread my RES hunting around in about 4-5 different systems, so that I don't have too big of an impact in any one specific system. I am currently "unfriendly" with the mob in my home system due to substantial RES hunting a while back. For the last few weeks I've been taking any and all BB missions for the mob, trying to raise my rep level back to neutral.

Before yesterday, I hadn't been to HIP 20277 for several months. When I used to frequent the system, I always had better luck at the RES that is closest to the drop point. That gives you a fairly long haul to the station in case of canopy breach, but.... no risk, no reward, right?

I'll have to check out Ugriviri very soon. Thanks for the tip! ;)

Ever since I have joined mobius people have been talking about hip 20277 but not for the life of me I have NEVER been able to get a spawn there, just an endless parade of sidewinders and Eagles. Even the haz res there give me below par npc's.

But seems res hunting in general took a hit with 2.0.
Could chalk it up to he rng, but it's starting to seem way too consistent.

How many times do I have to tell you people! Don't Poop Where you Eat! :D

Never hunt in your "Home" system. The risk is not worth the reward. Better to fly away a bit and hunt than risk turning hostile and losing your Privileges.

I know better, Loriath, but damn.... the Haz-RES is right outside my front door. It keeps calling my name!

The mob is the smallest faction in the system, and is currently at 0% influence. I'm not concerned about lack of access to the station from my interaction with the mob. And.... I haven't hunted there in several weeks while I've been doing BB missions for the mob. My rank progression bar (that pops up when you complete a mission) hasn't been moving though, which is weird. The arrow is going the right direction though. Not sure what to make of it. Is the progression bar broken, or the mission system as a whole? I know that there are issues with some missions, but the ones I've been taking have reached completion.

Thanks for the tip, TorTorden.

I just spent a little time at Ugriviri in the 'vette.

I think I'll be staying for a bit. ;) $$$$

evovi wrote:Having loadsa fun in extraction sites! Much better than dropping out of SC Into USS pirate hunting - have noticed more so in the high res leaving and rejoining makes different ship types spawn - can get em with biggest ship usually being an asp, twice I've tried to take on anacondas but whilst dodging asteroids it can be difficult maintaining position to finish em off - and boy, the higher ranked anacondas take some pounding to get through shields - best I've had before I had to take precautions was 28% hull - police don't tend to intervene unless they have killed someone first - all in all I'm finding pythons to be the ones to avoid full stop, their added mobility and kick ass weapons - my vipers shields are popped quick time, then - I can't get far enough away, had a few flappy ass close calls !!

All part of learning and enjoying - confidence is growing quickly!

How do wings work for bounty splitting ? Be nice to have a partner in crime to experience some of the other scenarios I can't do solo

I like racking up credits in a RES. Bounties are worth more than the steady bonds you get in a conflict zone, especially if I take the time to KWS the target first.

I've only winged up once or twice with a few randomly encountered Commanders. It was a good time. Nice people, especially in the Mobius private group. Splitting the bounty wasn't a problem. In fact, I think it made the credits come in faster since a wing can take out several ships at a time, and confidently take on even a well armed Anaconda. I'd rather split the quarter million credits than have to shell out for a new ship.

I love the HIP location for bounties. Just did 1.7 million there in a run at one of the HAZ res sites. I'm using a Vulture for bounties, love it. If I don't get a good spawn I just sign off/on. I hate flying around with nothing spawning.
