What modules do you find yourselves giving up to fit one? I've thought about it, but, hate giving up the spot. That, and I'm still flying mostly small ships, so space is at a premium.

Small ships don't really need the docking computer, but on the Larger ones, I will sacrifice a Class 1 or 2 for the DC. It was quite handy on the T9 and T7. I tried it on the Python but didn't really like it and the Python was easy to manage. If and when I buy an Anaconda, I will add it for the first few days till I am confident on not killing myself landing it.

I have wondered why it doesn't also function as an un-docking computer too. Gets you off the pad and out the port ready to go to hyperspace.
I know that leaving a station is easier than docking but I still managed to make a mess of it a few times....

Seeing that I am intrinsically lazy, I have a deep fondness for the docking computer. A vast improvement to the original. I always try to fit one into any ship that I am flying. My bladder loves it too

I have never owned one of these, but I seriously considered it for the Imperial Clipper I owned for a few days. That thing gave me docking nightmares for some reason! I decided to just sell the ship instead. I dont have much of a issue with my T7 but if I ever get a T9 or Conda I am sure I will have one for sure!
