One thing a large tank might help with is for dropping off powerplay pamphlets, but then you could just drop the scoop for a tank.

It's just this 3.XX fuel drain while in FS mode. And 1.9X when in normal flight with weapons retracted and 2.1X to 2.3X when weapons are extended(hope this is the right word :P). It makes me a bit nervous about my fuel somehow(idk why. It just does XD) And I guess 144 or what-it-was tons should be enough for my purpose of a multi role ship.
(X stands for unknown number as this number jumps from time to time)

Say you burn 4 tons an hour, it's still 8 hours use of max consumption on a basic 32 ton tank.

You will have to re-arm those multicannons before you burn up 1\4 tank most likely, or you will be fueling up on a star long before then if you are traveling.

Rule 1: Pillage. Then burn.
Rule 2: No such thing as overkill, as long as there are reloads.

I have this huge tank setup because of my CZ farming runs. It may not needed when you are in a CZ for like 6-10 hours. (The longest I was in a CZ was 2 days and 3 hours :p. I needed that setup there.)

You do realise that's an insanely extreme case.
And honestly a bit worrying..
My personal "ok I'm bored with this activity, time to switch it up" averages at about 45 minutes at most 3 hours.
And I'm on disability for freaking aspergers...

Its not like I was awake all the time. My Anaconda made it tthrough both 8 to 11 hour nights.
I know that most probably wont stay this long in a CZ but it is a good way to make serious money with the right equipment and time (but maybe a bit of luck too)

Interesting, might try to use bursts on CZs. They never really caught my attention as they tend to consume more power than most weapons. Not sure I'd be willing enough to leave an Anaconda afk though!

Been using this for a while now. Running on a turreted set even seemed more manual as opposed to gimballed ones.

I'm at a CZ atm and tried a full laser turreted build for it with four c3 bursts (one on the c4 slot the others on the c3's) 2 c2 beams in the front as well as 2 c1 beams on the c1 ports in the back. It still cuts through everything.

I wouldn't say its save to let your Anaconda stay in a CZ while you do something else. The thing that nothing really happened to my ship could be pure luck after all.

New loadout for firing 2 SCbs at the same time and without heat issues (unless you are firing all weapons, boosting and firing up SCBs at the same time)

Only energy weapons...

I have messed around with a lot of the various weapon combinations with the Anaconda. However, ultimately, what I liked the best is the following which has been quite effective:

H: 1x PA (fixed)
L: 3xPulse (Gimbal)
M: 2xBurst (Gimbal)
S: 2xBeam (Turret)

Here is the full build:

I actually played around with this in the CZ all night:

H: 4B/G Cannon
L: 3D/T Beam Laser
L: 3E/T Burst Laser
L: 3E/T Burst Laser
M: 2F/G Multi-cannon
M: 2F/G Multi-cannon
S: 1B/FS Missile Rack
S: 1B/FS Missile Rack

It may not be the "most efficient" but it sure is versatile...and a heck of a lot of fun. I decided to put missiles in the small racks because nothing else really does much damage at all...plus they're fun to fire at small ships and fleeing fighters...
