Alas, the Orphan Child is not equipped to carry cargo, besides, drinking and fuel scooping don't mix.

Surely you can give up something for two tonnes of brew! Come on! LOL

In other OP related news, I've been running BB missions for Alioth Independants, working on my rep. Saw a CMDR Phena (and a last name I don't remember) docking at Rominger. Been a while since I'd seen anyone else! Occasional radar blips is usually about it. I was so excited to SEE see someone else that in my eagerness to snap a screenshot (that I never did get) I forgot to request docking permission and lost the ability to mash screengrab hotkeys in an effort to backpedal out of the slot. haha.

Well last night just carried on grinding in and around Sol.....making 1350 - 1500 a tonne one way and about 300 on return....

Should really bring my T6 out here....But can't be arsed....

Got to just over 2 mill in bank and upgraded my shield generator to A4......

So just grinding again....taking a few missions here and there....No progression missions at all showing up....

Got interdicted twice....Expert eagle....45 secs.....He went boom and then by a very brave dickhead in a sidewinder....I don't think he even had time to shit his pants......

Loving it.......

These days I find myself committing 50/50 to bounty hunting and rare trading. First I engorge myself in Leesti and neighbouring federal system with kills at nav points (preferably at the federation system). Then I start the rare route to Coquim by gathering goodies around Lave area and then off we go. As I use kill warrant scanner, I usually have enough imperial bounties to pay for the trip (actually carry scoop too to max profit) to cash in at Coquim and then back again.

With a bank balance of 23m+, and a fully equipped 'A' class ASP thanks to a couple of days exploiting utilising the Seeking Luxuries thing before the last patch, I'm spending my time ambling towards the Seagull Nebula (3,800ly from Sol). I'm done with populated areas for now.

Seeking out strange new worlds, and boldly going where hopefully no-one has gone before (so I can get my name on the map). As I only have time for a few hours play a week, it will likely take me several weeks to get there... then I have to get back again!

From my experience, if you are going to a nebula only 3800LY from Sol, you can be pretty sure that most systems on a direct route and most systems around the Nebula will already be explored. Jogging to the side (L/R/up/down) for a few hundred LY before heading to the nebula will make it much more likely to find unexplored systems on the way.
It's time to give this another go.

You would think - but I'm still not far from Sol (about 1000ly) and pretty much every system I go to now is unexplored and untagged. So I don't think it follows.

Most explorers don't star hop around the vicinity of every jump - the route planner plots a route (which will be different for different people since it's entirely based on ship type, jump range, and loadout) and you hop from jump to jump taking the most direct route you can. Once you get that far out, you can't view the system details of any system before you jump to it... so you have no way to tell beforehand if a neighbouring star system is worth going to or not.

It's also not a particularly popular nebula either I don't think. Partly because of distance (most people make a trip to Orion / Witch head / Barnard's Loop and back, but that's about it) but mostly because there's apparently not much to see on the way. Certainly though I expect the nebula itself to be fully tagged.

So I'm hopeful of getting a few tagged systems on my return. How many we'll just have to see. As I said, I don't get much time to play, so others may beat me to the punch.

Day 31 - Onufriyenko Terminal in Heheng system
Still on my way to Lave, making some deals on the way to cover expenses and some hunting at Nav Beacon before closing for today. 106K bounties in one fun hour (although the great majority of ships were clean, I had a few big fishes including a Federal Dropship) and now ranked Competent.
Still no sign of other Mobius Cmdrs, probably will change once I reach Lave which is now some 35 Ly away.
