Hi, I'd like to join you guys, but I'm still grinding for Sol. Do you have any advice for a Fed pilot? These Fed Navy missions are few and far between...it's gonna take forever to get the pass.

A great tool that helped me greatly in finding commodities for those pesky fetch missions early on was http://www.inara.cz. Just type in the item and it will tell you the nearest system/station that sells it. Personally, I found most of the commodities I needed in the Arque system (Alliance) or Codorain (Empire), both of which are not too far away (roughly 100 -120 LY away from Sol). After a couple of these you'll go up a couple ranks, then you'll just need to pick up a couple assassination missions (kill x number of pirates, kill this renegade general, etc.) and you'll have a Sol permit in no time. Just use a Fed System as your hub for trade and/or bounty hunting (Vucub Huan or Turdetani are pretty good for bounty hunting if you're near both Arque/Codorain) and you'll eventually find the missions you need. Make sure to check your permits often on your status side-panel, as you usually don't get a notification once you receive a permit.

Sounds great! I'm currently still in the newbie systems of LHS 3447 and Eravate, both of which are Federation-rich. I figured I'd just grind up here and then move on out to Sol when I got my permit. I'm currently using a Viper.

I have a question regarding the reputation and such. Do you have to do only Fed Navy missions in order to get the pass, or does your rep increase by doing missions for Federation-aligned industries? I tend to just do bounty hunting, as that makes much more money for me....plus it's more fun, hehe.

I was perusing our new website, and I really like the radio chatter guide. However, some of the images are really hard to read with the glow text. This is most notable on the last image. Perhaps it would be better to simply bold face and colorize?

Also, sorry I've been (as someone else so eloquently put it) radio silent. I've been playing through this crazy hard Pathfinder scenario (Eyes of the Ten, for those who know PFS), and we keep having set backs from the real world - places losing our reservation for a gaming table, people being sick, etc. So, it's taking up extra time that it shouldn't because of make up sessions.

Anyway, for the foreseeable future, Thursdays and Fridays might be out for me until late night. Which means I am really only available on 1st and 3rd Saturdays for any real amount of time (and not even this coming 3rd Saturday - F-i-L's B-day). That said, Sundays will be open for a while too because the GM of a *different* Pathfinder game is unavailable for several weeks. This will all be back to normal in April because we'll be done with it.

I should be in game today, after I finish doing my taxes. (<sarcasm> yay.... </sarcasm>)

@RedQueen Yeah I've gotta tweak that guide a little bit. It is a bit hard to read. I've got work today, then I'm off tomorrow. Got a few things to do this break with my vehicles but I should be able to tweak it up for us.

I haven't really heard much feedback about us becoming "Sabers." Is anyone against this? If not, I'm going to tweak the domain name and website sometime this break. Hope everyone is doing well! Turbo out.

@Samoth I'm considering a mascot change for our squadron. The eagle is a bit overused and I think the saber is a little bit better. I just wanted everyone's thoughts. To be honest I wasn't sure if this was gonna take off, but now that we're awesome , I was thinking about some different options. Thoughts? Turbo out.

Sounds good to me! Although I kinda prefer the classic "Sabre" spelling to the American "Saber"...I think it would be more elegant in the title.

Sounds good. I'll be making the change over the next few days. THE WEBSITE WILL BE UNDER CONSTRUCTION. It will say all kinds of weird things for a few days.
