Thank you so much for confirming that Kronos.

I have fitted out a T6, as best as i can, with the cash I have. 64 cargo space, fuel scoop, scanner, and even a surface scanner. And better yet it has 4B Frame drive on it. So it is doing between 16 and and 21 ly per jump.

As you have said. No weapons, but I have put some shield boosters on it.

you could try something like this for aT-6 build.

The advanced discovery scanner is completely optional. I like shields, so I put an A rated sheild generator in it with a small shield booster. You could save some cost and weight with a D rated shield generator, but if you are interdicted, the shields will go down faster. This setup will allow you to boost more frequently (when trying to escape interdictions) and allow for larger shields, but it's more money and the jump range is a little lower.

when i say shield booster. i meant the one, that gives you a flat passive boost to your shields. my idea being. they should hold long enough for me to jump out. as i have no weapons, all my power is diverted to engines, and systems.

Yes, a shield booster is passive and raises your shield strength. The T-6 is slow, so it's hard to 'run away' from an interdiction. That's why I recommend strong shields.

It was always long range, I used to fly the Quince run in my Python, made a hundred a day. Creds are like a good sofa, once you have one you just need soft furnishing.

I stray, sorry (meds kicking in), get to Ceos, bounce back n forth to Sothis, rank up with the powers that be and then take some long range stuff. remember 20 jumps is a jump a min, it is not a problem.

I agree with CMDR JohnLuke here. You want good shields (any interdiction is a matter of avoidance - and i always try and with the HOTAS setup almost always win - or, if you submit, having good shields while waiting for cooldown). I would dump the surface scanner (and the other scanner after the first run) and add more cargo, cargo, cargo. You'll see why after your first run CMDR MOORE. :) I dont even run with shield boosters but do have A rated shields.

If you need help let me know.

I have done what i can with the set up on my type 6. I have no idea how to link my fit sorry. But my frame drive is a type b. something like 64 cargo. Could be more. But i got worried about the distance i had to travel. So i went for a scoop, and a spare a fuel tank. Have all ready ditched the surface scanner.

I have arrived, and starting running missions to build up my rep.
But my question now. Is it worth doing the missions. That have you travel 20 something jumps, for over a million credits?
Or is better to stick to short trips?

OK, here's the deal. You need to build rep with the minor factions before they will offer you the really good missions. So, to do this take the smaller data delivery missions between Sothis and Ceos (don't do the mining of other missions that require you to go looking for stuff - waste of time). Do this for a while (it took me a good hour or so, maybe two) till you get to at least cordial/friendly with most. Sometimes you'll get lucky and get "smuggle this stuff for to ceos/sothis for 5mill creds" - money for jam (don't get scanned though)!

Then eventually you'll start to see the "take x cargo to y location for z millions of credits". Make sure x is relative to y so that you're making between 300-500k/ton UNLESS you see a 5mill credit haul that might ask you to take 20-30 tons, then i take them cause it's 5 mill! Most people will say wait it out for the ones that say "take 4 tons to y location for 2-3 mill"and they are there but i've got loads cargo space so i take the not so lucrative ones too. Get as many as you can (fill your cargo hold) the travel 'back to the bubble' (inhabited space) and deliver them. Rinse and repeat.

I just made over 80mill creds in two nights. :D
