Fired off my request to join the Eurasia group yesterday so hoping to be playing open mode a lot more coming up.
Been flying space ships for 30 years cutting my teeth on the Cobra from Elite C64. Played every Elite version since to death, Frontier elite and Elite 2 really boosted the reality of Elite with it's much more in depth graphics and abilities in game. But Elite dangerous is next level, especially in VR.
Without doubt I can say Elite Dangerous in VR is the best computer game I have played.
Started my ED journey in the system LHS 3447, running goods and doing passenger missions, to be honest it was that long ago now I can't recall exactly how I scraped together my credits for a ship upgrade.
I started a CMDR when ED came out with the intention of playing in Rift, when it was released. But Palmer announcement that the system specs that were originally talked about would need to be quite a bit higher, subsequently shattering my ED VR dream for a time.
I played ED for a bit and let it go until VR was ready. Fast forward some time and the development of tech that lowered the system specs for VR, and my time had arrived.
I worked my way down to near SOL area, in the system LHS 3356 toiling away there with my goal to secure access to SOL system. I've docked at Lave station and bounced around the bubble a bit.
All of this playing mostly in Solo to avoid the griefers but now have found OOM so looking forward to seeing more CMDR's out there. I'm sure the CMDRs still with us have evolved from the CMDR's id see early game, smashing all over the insides of space stations and getting blasted by the sprinkler systems.
Also signed up for the Mobius Factions thing to check that out also.
That's me, see you out there!
