CMDR Vespyr here reporting for duty!
I've been eagerly awaiting the release of ED since I first learned that it was coming out on the 16th, and I'm thrilled that it's finally here! Haven't been this excited for a game in a long time. :P It seems we space simmers only ever get gems like these once every few years, so it's great to see such a revival of the genre lately, especially in this case of a legend being brought back to life. I never had a chance to play the original Elite (closest I got was Oolite and other space games like Escape Velocity, the X-series, and Evochron Mercenary to name a few), so I can't wait to get immersed in this latest incarnation of a venerated classic!
Thank you for accepting me into Mobius. Seems like a very friendly, pleasant group of people and I hope to be able to catch sight of/run into (not literally, I hope!) a few of you on my travels. Wishing you all safe journeys in the great black beyond. :D
