Hiya,

I have just started flying again after a very long time away. I came back to try Horisons, But so for I've just been learning to fly again. I'll be trying some ground missions later. I am thinking of putting a dedicated lander together, a keelback maybe.

I'm only flying Pve as i'm too poor for pvp, I can afford to blow up my vulture maybe 15 times and that is it. I imagine in pvp I could burn through those lives in one evening.

I am joining Mobius because I prefer not to play on my own.

The last time i played I was keen not to upset any factions too soon so I was allies with Empire, Federation and Alliance and I avoided the military. This time I am going for empire military, I'm also planning to make the federation not like me. I decided on a flip of a coin. I also aim to try mining, exploration and trading, activities I only briefly sampled last time.

I am very very keen to try planet landing, and the consumables crafting thing. I'm assuming there are no plants and animals but I do hope they go that far in the future.

I expect I will be in upper edges of the empire bubble most of the time with forays into Fed space, unless I team up and acquire new aims and ambitions.

You'll find plenty of Empire aligned Commanders in the group and I have no doubt plenty of opportunities to play with others, you are right that landable currently don't have plants or animals, but that will come in future expansions (but not in Horizons).

Please feel free to add your name to the In game friends list thread, and check out our TeamSpeak servers to easily chat with, and possibly wing up with other commanders.

Also, make sure to check the Policy page if you haven't already.

On top of all of that, we also have a Facebook group and Twitter feed.

There is a lot of great info on the message board, and we have compiled a long list of Tips and Tricks to help new and returning players acclimatize to the game while having fun.

I am allied with the Empire and the Federation and doing missions for both as I like both faction's ships. I am a midshipman with the Federation and just got a Federal Drop Ship that I use as an armored miner that can carry a fair amount of mined ore and can also give a pirate interdicter a really bad day. Rank with the Empire is Knight and I have my Imperial Courier which is nice light fighter with decent range and some cargo cap. My main fighting ship is the Vulture though set up as an armor tank.

Since our player faction is based in Empire space, many of use stay in that area (Azrael). Personally.... I was a Fed supporter for the first 6 months or so that I played, and then I came to the dark side.

Life is *GREAT* in the Empire! More profitable trade runs, tons of RES to hunt in, and all the cool kids hang out nearby.

I must say I do love the vulture. Seems able to kill most things before the FSD cool down timer is up.

This evening I've been using the new high regen shields and I can sit at 0km/s and take almost no shield damage from quite a range of ships.

Also i think i will stay friendly with everyone. Feds seem quite easy to please, I've Racked up quite a few bounty's this evening but I am still allied to them. They don't get half as upset about assassinations as i thought they would.
