I just joined a few days ago. I'm somewhat new to Elite Dangerous online play. I'm trying to get Teamspeak to work etc. I'd be interested in linking up as part of a wing instead of flying solo. Forum name is ebphoto

The learning curve in E-D is kinda steep, so feel free to ask lots of questions!

Please feel free to add your name to the In game friends list thread, and check out our TeamSpeak servers to easily chat with, and possibly wing up with other commanders.

Also, make sure to check the Policy page if you haven't already.

On top of all of that, we also have a Facebook group and Twitter feed.

There is a lot of great info on the message board, and we have compiled a long list of Tips and Tricks to help new players acclimatize to the game while having fun.

Finally, if you are interested in being involved, go here to see information about our player group faction, the Order of Mobius. We have our own Discord (voice and text chat) servers for supporters of Mobius, as well as our own Order of Mobius Twitter feed.

Hey guys,
Sorry for the duplicate post. I didn't realize it had to get approved before it posted. I have a couple of questions, if you don't mind answering them? What is the Order of Mobius? I went ahead and signed up for it as described but I wasn't sure what its for? Also, since I've only flown Solo mode, how do I add someone in the chat window? Does it automatically work with TeamSpeak? I downloaded and installed TeamSpeak and actually logged onto your server. Just listened in a bit last night to make sure it worked. Should I assign a button on my joystick for the talk switch? How do you have it setup? So if I travel to AZRAEL, will other players be there? Is that where most of you go? I'll have to check how far away it is from Femu. It might take me a night to get there nut Ill give it a go.

Let's see if I can help with some of your questions....

Order of Mobius (OoM) is our player faction that is represented in the game. Our home system is Azrael, and we are currently at war in Exioce as we are working on expanding our presence in the galaxy. Running BB missions in either system for the Order of Mobius faction help our influence.

As far as having other commanders in your chat window, if you add your name to the 'in game friends list' linked to in my other post, some commanders will add you to their friends list. I encourage you to add commanders from the list to your in-game friends too. You can also see commanders who are in the same system as you, and chat with them.

Teamspeak is used for voice comms, and does not integrate directly with the E-D chat window. I have a 'push to talk' button on my joystick for in game comms and Teamspeak.

There are several commanders who call the Azrael area home. If you spend some time in the area you will certainly run across other group members.

Thank you, that helped a lot. I was in Teamspeak last night and met a few of the members. They made a wing and we flew some bounty hunting missions. I think that helped me understand how it all works. There's still a ton I need to learn but it will just take time, like everything does.
