Hello all,
CMDR Falcon Darkstar here.
By reading some of the other posts in this thread guess I'm pretty young at 43.
Been playing games since the good old Apple 2, BBC micro and Comodore 64 days.
Dabbled a bit with the original Elite but it was not as fun as some of the other games I was playing at that time.
I've played WoW, LOTRO, SWTOR, GW2, EvE and a few other MMOs. I've always been a PvE player and have very little interest in PvP.
I came across E:D during their kick-starter campaign when I was actually researching Star Citizen. Did not back E:D at the time cause I had backed SC and was hesitant to back another space based shooter game. In fact I was very intrigued by the fact that the space based shooter genre had started to gather steam again. I had so totally given up on it, that I had thrown away my Logitech FlightStick Extreme 3D Pro. This was due to my experience with Jumpgate Evolution and Black Prophecy (the former was abandoned by the developer after much hype and the later died away a few months after release.)
Initially I thought if I just wanted to PvE, then I would have to stick to Solo mode. But people kept mentioning this group in the Frontier forums so I just had to check it out, and am glad that I did.
Well now I'm here and having a blast playing E:D with my new T.Flight Hotas X.
Cheers and see you out in space.
