I have fond memories of fidgeting nervously while waiting the required 10 minutes for the cassette tape of Elite to load in my friends BBC, then a few years later being scolded by my girlfriend for staying up all night playing Frontier on my trusty Amiga 500. I still have a PC port of Frontier which I still play from time to time. I spent time in the X universe and although some of those games had significant flaws there are some aspects that I would love to see in Elite, but that is another thread for another time.
I am pleased to find that there is a serious PvE presence in Elite because for me the game is best shared rather than competed for.
