While I like the idea of a sandbox, but the proliferation of asshattery due to no real consequences I find irksome. If people would justs act as as they would in real life I might not simply walk away.

Welcome. Yes, people can be a pain in Open. Hopefully you'll find a pleasant group with us.

I go by CMDR Infinite85 ingame, Infinite85 on Reddit, and if I get around to it I'll probably go by Infinite85 on the forums as well. I know, I know... you'll never be able to keep that straight.

I'm here because I despise forced PVP on principle, especially in games like this where hours of work can be lost in an instant + an additional penalty to keep the loadout you previously had. I've only played the game for ~10 days, and I've had more than my fair share of dealing with griefers, to the point where it was more beneficial for me to delete my CMDR and start over at one point. To top it off, I have yet to encounter another player that HASN'T gone full asshat and killed me for poops and giggles. I'll stop there, or I'll rant for hours.

I generally enjoy helping people out and teaming up with others (I love to raid in WoW/TOR when I'm not burned out on them).

Hi Infinite85, and welcome. :)

You'll like this group as you can play the game until your heart's content and you can do so without having to worry about being attacked unprovoked. NPCs will still try to bust you out of superdrive but they are vary easy to run from. It's nice meeting up with other Mobius players in-game and having a chat with them.

See you around. :)

Greetings fellow Commanders,

I first heard about Mobius in a comment on Reddit and thought to myself that it seemed a quite elegant solution to my problem. See, I don't get to play a TON of Elite, with other stuff going on, and so I've been flying solo because - while so many positive encounters do happen out there - my time in Elite is somewhat precious and I'd rather not have what time I get be ruined by a chance encounter with a griefer. That said, Solo is not really the ideal way to play, even if you ARE a loner (Which I am in many ways) and as such I've always wished I had friends that played so that we could do a private group sort of thing.

Then bam, I hear about Mobius a group that brings players together without the threat of griefing by being a dedicated PvE group, and all I can think is 'Perfect'. I have not applied to join the group in Elite as yet, since I am doing this from work at the moment but I wanted to thank whomever it was that went to such lengths to set this whole situation up, as it allows us to get a great experience in Elite with other players in a more comfortable environment.

See you in the black,
