Yeah, NPCs have names. Easy ways to recognise a player - they have a hollow icon on the scanner (NPC icons are filled in) and their name will always have "CMDR" in front of it. If your attacker wasn't called "CMDR Jack Halley" then they were an NPC .

I am currently 27 living in Manchester, England

I only recently came to E:D it is my first real space flight sim. Space RTS a plenty but first fight sim ever really. TBH it was the ''400 BILLION'' stars systems they offered that drew me in and wow they was not wrong....... There really isn't a word to describe how big the world is in the game. It still overwhelms me when i look at the galaxy map.

I've always been a PvE'er.. OK yeah because 1. I kinda sucky at PvP and 2. I honestly prefer to play with others than seek them out to ruin their day

Hopefully i'll see some of you in the galaxy. Don't be afraid to add me to Steam or throw me a friend request/wing request in game always happy to help someone shift some cargo or take out some galactic pirate scum

PvE over PvP? I'm not terribly good at PvP, and I've never enjoyed conflict with others - I guess I don't have the mindset for it . More fond of community and co-op situations.

Hello. Steve from South Wales here.

I played Elite back in the 80's and loved it, so I'm a bit older now. Just got my free bus pass so those in the UK can guess my age.

I've been playing since the game came out last December and love it. I used to play in Open but got fed up of the constant harassment, Ganking I think you call it. It got less as I moved away from my start point, but now I play mostly in Solo.

My commanders name is Vespasianus and at the moment I fly around in a Type 9 trading. I've also done some PvE bounty work and missions but thought I'd try a group and see what happens.
