43 yrs old optician by trade from Texas US (not a cowboy).
Got into ED a few months ago... and having a ball. Did a lot of PVE bounty hunting in the beginning, then a little exploring. Now i'm working towards a corvette.

Looking forward to talking to people in game.

Good afternoon, fellow Commanders!
My name in Elite is Christopher Wolfe, though you may call me Chris if you like. If you see one of my posts here on the forums, you will see me as Chris Wolfe.
I am an active part of the Facebook part of the Mobius order, and there I go by my real name: Chris Southern.
I chose PVE because I prefer to work alongside other human players and make new friends.
My two current ships are an Adder kitted out for exploration, and a Cobra kitted for Smuggling runs. Both have an onboard A.I. Named D.A.R.K. He is my co-pilot, courtesy of VoiceAttack and HCS Voices.
I do happen to be a college student, and I also work a lot, but I will likely be playing ED in between the two. I wish I could give a window of when I'd be available for teaming up, but my schedule is WAY too messy for that kind of predictability.

I HATE playing online and HATE playing MMOGs and the like. Just mostly because I don't have the patience, time, or interest to fight with 12 yo Asian kids with user names like xXAlexTheJediMasterROXXx that do nothing but play video games all the time and camp spawn points in order to gank the heck out of you, all whilst spewing vulgar hate speech through the microphone.

FORTUNATELY, I have had the honor of being involved with various groups who are NOT like that. And are actually interested in helping people ENJOY THE GAME.

I'm hoping this is one of those groups.

As for why I chose PVE over PVP? I've played Eve Online for so many years (and other MMO's). It just gets annoying dealing with PVP side of things all the time. I'm 44 years old and play to relax and enjoy myself. Thats one of the best things i like about ED. Up until I found Mobius i was pretty much forced into Solo mode if i didn't feel like dealing with the drama and headache of open. But now it's a option of playing along side people.

I'm not the competitive type, and I'd much rather play in a persistent, shared world without worrying about getting 'dicted by an Anaconda specifically built for ganking other players.

I switch between bounty hunting, mining, trading, exploration, and Imp rank grinding depending on the mood I'm in. E:D can be a very chill game.
