Goslinj or Commander Johan Digence here, named after the main character in my eldest son's first, as yet unpublished, novel.

Aged 48 and 5 days I've been playing Elite since 84 and the Speccy 48k. Been with ED since Alpha and having a blast.

PvE seems right up my alley.

Hi, I'm Flossy and I've been playing - sorry testing! - E: D since Alpha. Originally was a Standard Beta Backer, which was subsequently upgraded to Premium Beta and finally upgraded to Alpha. I had never played the original game, but often watched my husband (Cmdr Wrongway in game and on Frontier forums) while he played. At the time I didn't even try playing, thinking I would never be able to 'fly'.

Since then I have played games like Air Warrior and Aces High, so 'flying' is now second nature and I easily got straight into flying around in Elite. I think having a HOTAS and rudder pedals from my other games helped a lot with the transition to space flight.

I am 61 and retired from work last March, so have plenty of time for 'testing'. I have enjoyed playing most of the time but stopped playing in Open after being attacked by other players a few times and have mainly gone Solo or in smaller private groups so far. I think a large group like this one is probably the best compromise for me and look forward to seeing some of you online.
