evening all.
cmdr slapfighter

48 years old. remember playing the original on the speccy (got to 'deadly')
work shifts day and night. 4 on, 4 off.
played COD until got really fed up with griefers and hacks!

purchased the x52 hotas and am raring to go.
failed first mission cos' i forgot to actually buy the goods before i tootled off (too much galaxy on fire2 hd).
try to get on most evenings if the wife leaves me alone during the soaps.

I'm an older gamer, I had the original game way back in the distant past on an Atari I think or was it the Speccy, not sure now
I played this shiny new version in the Alpha and Beta period then left it to play other games, mostly Shroud of the Avatar.
Now I'm back playing Elite and loving it

Hello all!

I'm Commander Amy

My real name is also Amy, I'm 24 years old and from England.
I started playing Elite Dangerous February 2015 but also took a long break which ended in December. I joined this group because I really really dislike forced pvp, on top of that I'm not really a fan of combat in Elite Dangerous. I love roleplaying, trading, just flying my ship as well as exploring the galaxy. It can get pretty lonely out in space and would love more people to chat to while playing this amazing game!

Other than ED I play a lot of WoW, although not as much right now (sort of waiting for legion to come closer to release.) I also occasionally play Skyrim, TF2 and CS:GO, right now however I am playing ED full time.

Greetings all!
CMDR Pville_Piper checking in. I haven't officially joined in online because I'm on the road (currently in Muskogee, Oklahoma) which I am a lot.
I have been playing Elite for a while and now Horizons but only in solo. I play solo mostly because of the whole interdiction and getting blown up thing. I don't have a lot of time to play so getting blown up can set me back quite awhile. I don't mind the pirates so much, just the jerks who find it fun to interdict and blow you up either after taking your cargo or before.
I have been trading a lot and I have just bought a Diamondback Scout I've kitted out to go hunting in the Res. and maybe some light exploring/trading.
I had been playing FPS games like Battlefield 4 and decided to try this game for a change of pace. I'm not sure why I like this game but I do! As I said, I've been solo but I miss gaming with others and would love to get in with a group. You learn so much with others and I miss the chatting with my friends. Unfortunately, none of them are interested in this game.
I will most likely be home this weekend and I hope to run into you sometime soon. I currently use the Reilly Station at Abukunin as my base of operations.

Im CMDR Marnikos, I've been playing ED since the start. I come from Greece and I love this game, im really hooked. I play most Solo because of some traumatic experiences I had, at the start. I really wanted to get involved to something more "open" and find new friends.
I hope we all continue to experience this excellent game together.

I'm Richie from the UK and an old player. Started on the BBC micro and made Deadly, moved to an Amstrad with Elite+ and made Elite!
Got this game a while ago but didn't have the free time needed to learn it, so I've just restarted. Been reading Forums, following Twitter ect, ect.

So far stayed on Solo mode but ready to enter the real world now...

I'm Here to PvE, would like to RP as much as possible.

I've got an Eagle thats A rated and a few spare credits, looking to start the game properly now. My aim is to get a Cobra MkIII fully kitted out as a Nostalga trip, then........who knows.

I'm 49 years old and played the original Elite back in the day - got to Deadly I think.

Despite its flaws and bugs (none that cannot be worked around) I love Elite: Dangerous/Horizons - I've played it almost exclusively for the last 2-3 months

I've avoided open play as I'm not interested in PvP (NPCs are a different matter! - I've just achieved Deadly in combat!) so Mobius is the perfect solution.
