Welcome Fellow Commanders to your own PvE forum.

To help everyone get to know each other please introduce yourself,
tell us why have you chosen PvE over PvP?
We are all a mature friendly bunch here.

Regards Mobius

In total fairness? I haven't chosen PvE over PvP. I'm a pirate. I like the option to pull down Commanders in trade ships and bargain with them for cargo. It should be noted, however, that I don't murder people indiscriminately. I kind of wish the rules of Mobius could be nudged to allow for piracy but continue to punish indiscriminate player-killing. Such that traders would feel more comfortable negotiating, safe in the knowledge that if they hand over their cargo that there's a very good chance that they won't be murdered.

However, I've recently met some Commanders online who are members of Mobius, and from time to time it would be nice to be able to drop in and wing up with them. So I'm requesting permission to join the group so I can drop in from time to time.

I will, of course, abide by the Mobius rules so long as I'm playing in the private group.

Welcome to Mobius, commander Kaiaros Val.

Thanks for explaining your POV on pirating right up front, and demonstrating that you know that that kind of stuff isn't allowed here. :)

Feel free to add your name to the In game friend list thread and check out our TeamSpeak servers to easily chat with, and possibly wing up with other commanders. Also, make sure to check the Policy page if you haven't already.

If you are interested in being involved, go here to see information about our player group faction, the Order of Mobius. We have our own Discord (voice and text chat) servers for supporters of Mobius.

On top of all of that, we also have a Facebook group.

if the mechanics allowed for what I see as a proper pirating system within our group I would allow it, unfortunately there are groups that would exploit any rules that we would put in place. I wouldn't mind seeing a player pirating system that would avoid killing another player but would allow for limited cargo to be released for the play pirate, but until frontier look at the issue with the free for all within the open group things will remain as is within our pve group.

Hello Kaiaros Val :D

Yes, your honesty is appreciated. I'm sure there are more Cmdrs here than me who would like to learn from your experiences - for many different reasons ;)

My own reasons have been stated before:-

When the almighty (but distant) gods of FD (blessed be their names) grant our prayers for a functional, and sane, BGS ; and the Order of Mobius grows, it is my firm belief that numbers - perhaps significant numbers - of us will have to be prepared to play in open, against other Cmdrs, in defence of our faction.

With that, my downloads are complete so I'm off to get re-acquainted with Monty.

... and maybe go dispatch a pirate or two before bed ;)
