Hi all. I'm MottiKhan here, in Steam, Frontier, etc. My commander name is also MottiKhan. It's from one of the PLCs I program, the Modicon PLC.

I'm from Texas and do industrial programming, integrating and electrical work for my RL creds. PLCs, VB, HMI/SCADA, hardware design, etc.

Been playing solo up until now, but am looking forward to some coop missions and some pvp in the combat zone. I'm a bounty hunter in the game, federal and clean. Currently in a B3-rated Viper about 20 ly from my starting point, which was L-something and some numbers. It was close to Eravate. I just arrived at my current digs and don't remember the name of the system. It has a shipyard, so it's home for now.

See yall in the game. Good hunting.

Hello Commanders
Cmdr Simpleye here

I'm also form Scotland and have been playing Elite Dangerous since my kids got me it as a fathers day gift (kept going on about playing it on my old BBC Micro years ago)
I think the wife has left and taken the kids, the house is very quiet now.
I think she may have said something about me being addicted or maybe that I was a d**k h**d, didn't quite hear her a she slammed the door on the way out.
She has promised to come home if I only play when she out or in bed, which I have agreed to.
So you can find me near Hirapa/Yarrite between the hours of 22:00 hrs and 02:00 hrs most nights, running trade and visiting HICZ's.
Played mostly solo but have started playing in open play
I don't mind PvP but I'm drawing a lot of fire from Wings as I'm piloting Trade/Combat Anaconda.
So I'm looking for a more adult approach to open play and will be applying the join you guys tonight when I get home after putting in a hard days work planing trade routes and working on my next upgrade at ED Shipyard

Hope to see you in game

Hello everyone!

Started playing Elite only a few days ago, and I'm having a blast. I was always doubtful with the game, for some reason I thought I wouldn't like it and the reviews always left some bittersweet comments about it. It was on sale not so long ago and I decided to do it and I am very pleased with the choice! I already have more than 24 hours of play time, which is very little to many of you but I have less than a week playing haha.

Visiting from Mexico, happy to enjoy this fantastic space game with you all. Feel free to add me as CMDR Max-Hunter. I always have enjoyed more the cooperative games rather than plain PvP and I was really happy to have found Mobius. I haven't joined Wings with any of you here yet but I'm looking forward to it! I'm a bounty hunter trying to impress the Federation since I want to go to our Moon in Sol since in real life I'm completely in love with watching it. A giant piece of rock floating far away but to me it's really pretty.

I usually do trading and exploring as side jobs but I was careless in a mission and received Wanted status in the station where I had my Cobra to help me do those... So I'm stuck with my Diamondback Scout with little cargo capacity mostly hunting and little charity and trading stuff. Trying to get the Vulture to help me in those CZs.

I hope to see you among the stars soon!

Hello everyone!
CMDR biohazard15, hailing from snowy Russia :)
Played in solo first, then played open since Hutton Mug CG (God, that was fun!).
I like open, but I kinda don't want to do additional trading\smuggling\BHing to cover insurance costs everytime I'm being killed by some trigger-happy CMDR (my main ship is A-rated Python, so it takes some time) - and to be honest, I'm pretty terrible in PvP :)
Anyway, I hope my request will be approved soon! Fly safe CMDRs!

Hi! I'm SurgeonFish. I got the game on sale in september and have already put 100 hours in on solo mode. I was super happy when i got my Fer De Lance until just today i was blown up 3 times. Today was also the day I learned the importance of having insurance money.

So starting from scratch I decided to join a group and play with others and stick to cheaper ships for a while till i can pay off my loan.

Hey everybody, I'm Orin Bjornson. From eastern United States. I got the game a few weeks ago and love it. I've tried my hand in most of the aspects of the game, exploring, mining, trading and fighting of course. I think bounty hunting/combat is my favorite, followed by mining, trading and exploring. In that order. I like the PvE group because I dont have to worry about being hunted down in the game by pythons and clippers for no reason. I also like the social aspect of playing.

Currently I'm flying a vulture working on my Fed ranks. I really like the look of the Fed dropship. Feel free to add me in the game and if my small jump range in a vulture allows me I'll glady wing up and trade or fight with you.

Afternoon fellow Mobiuses :D

I'm still relatively new to the game, and have been playing for I guess around 6-7 weeks, although I feel far more familiar with the game than this, having also played the original and FE2 way back in the day when I was a wee nipper, like so many of us have!! I think FD really have quite a bespoke pre-fabricated audience amongst many of us!!

So, I haven't been through the previous 93 pages in this thread, but I thought it was only fair to introduce myself properly. I am unsure what level of detail to go in to, but I will give you a bit about me that can't be misused by online fraudsters, although I am in no way implying that any of our members are! Anyhow, I am from the UK; live on the south coast, in one of those towns that has an over-abundance of elderly folk..... Outside of the game, I am a Clinical Pharmacist by profession, and at the moment am self-employed, so I travel around quite a bit; I am one of those Chemists who covers for your regular guy when he/she is off sick, or when there is so much backlogged work that the company needs to get a second body in to try and clear it; I also run medication review clinics at local GP surgeries, and take part in the vaccination services that are rapidly approaching for this year's seasonal flu for example. Anyway, from this, my working life can be somewhat erratic and unpredictable, and some weeks I can be snowed under doing a 70 hour minimum week, whereas others can be very sparse, and I may find that I only work 2 days out of the 7; it is all very variable, and can change very quickly depending on other professional's holidays and so forth. I had wanted to briefly explain this, so you can imagine that my time in the game can likewise be extremely unpredictable - for example last week I had no work booked before Wednesday, and had logged in on Monday morning to get myself familiarised with mining; the phone rang requesting emergency cover for sickness, and I didn't get back to the game before Wednesday night, at least to spend more than 20 minutes on it!! So, as you can see, my dedication to the game is unquestionable, but sometimes I cannot predict when I will next be on. I thought I would mention this so anyone who wishes to Wing up with me will understand, much like the cool guy did last night :D

I chose this PvE group over playing in a mixture of solo/open, because I really enjoyed the experience of meeting people in and around Hutton for the CG, including the fantastic Fuel Rats [These guys are awesome, and I may follow their path when I am more advanced in the game!]. I was lucky enough not to have piracy problems when I visited Hutton in my Sidewinder back then, but reading many of the forums showed that I was indeed lucky to miss out on the griefers. Before then, I had played everything in Solo. It was the Steam forums that introduced me to Mobius, and now I always play in the group, as when I meet someone, it is normally a great experience.

I shall not go on too much longer, but safe to say I am currently in and around Carnoeck, where I am running either my Asp that I retro-fitted for mining, or my Vulture that I am using to go out to the HiRES zone and hunt bounties. I have managed to earn most of my cash through smuggling, although I have not tried much since the new version was released, so I am unsure how it has changed, aside from the payouts being upped for some of the trips. With time I will progress into bigger and more expensive ships, but in the long run I can see myself I a Python as it still holds versatility, and sits on a medium pad. The only downside I can foresee is the short jump range, but you can't have everything in life I guess!

So, that is me. And yes, my username/CMDR name is Asshat, but it was strangely already taken when I tried to log in with it in the game!! It is my nickname from my brother-in-law from many years ago, and it just kind of stuck. It sure beats my nickname from University cricket and rugby, and I fear I can't really write that out in its entirety on here, so I shall pass on the effort! If you're in Carnoeck and are interested in winging up to share some bounty cash, hit me up in game, or drop me a mail on here and I shall try to find you. Let me know your times of play and I will endeavour to find you.

Fly safe guys, and cheers for being the body of a great group in an awesome universe!!

Ps: I did have an unpleasant incident last night, where I shot down another member in the HiRES at Carnoeck as he had a bounty on him; it was completely my fault without question, but in the heat of this battle-ground I didn't even realise he was a fellow CMDR until he was already downed. Nonetheless it has been solved, and I hope the guy understands that it was totally unplanned by myself, and that I still feel very guilty about it; I just thought I should write about it on here in case anybody was wondering or had heard about it, and to make the story clear :)
