Thankyou, now i just have to find the teamspeak info and/or a way to actually type chat to anyone ingame, its seeming very hard, but the posts im reading are from january at latest and they say its broken. Is there a way ingame to chat to the squadron? or just individuals?

Greetings and welcome Moai. Hope to see you out there. Also the chat interface update they did with Wings 1.2 and all that new functionality has drastically improved typing to friends/wingmates/private group members. Its way easier and actually works when you fly by a fellow commander and say "hello".

Hi Frank, and welcome to Mobius.

I too played the original back in '84. I can't recall getting vary far but I did spend a lot of time playing it, with its Blue Danube soundtrack.

I'm playing ED since Beta 2 and was playing the original Elite on a C64 and Atari ST.
Even as i was playing a lot MMOs (UO, Meridian, Everquest, Vanguard, ...), i dont like pvp very much, so i joined Mobius last Year and missed somehow to register here, but with my age of 50 i have the advantage that no one could blame me for that
Ingame i saw so far only one Commander in Mobius, but that should be normal because i made my Home at Phraces, where i mined a lot and did so far 5 exploration trips each ~1500LY around it.
So far i bought a fully equipped Viper, Cobra and ASP and stored the Viper and Cobra in Aulin and Phraces while doing some exploration in ASP. Maybe i'll buy a Vulture the next days and do some bounty Hunting at a RES-Spot or do some more exploring, dunno.

In RL I'm living in Berlin/Germany and work as IT-Admin in a hospital.
