Couple of days ago. I've got a message that my tiny SSD is getting out of space...
As I recall, there was no install spree from my side, hmmm, maybe win 10 (ob)used some space for updates, grrrr.
Ok, did check dir sizes, aaaand conclusion : Elite dangerous log directory is over 11GB !!!
Checked log files (which are over 180MB big), and found a loot of lines with user info messages, which are written (probably)
every time I log in, and since our group is huge, log files are huge too
TL;DR
Botched-up small app in C# to delete those offending lines.
Just drop the .exe in ED log directory, usually "c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Elite Dangerous\Products\elite-dangerous-64\Logs\"
Run it from there, check if You want to back-up logs, and click on RUN.
All is left , is to enjoy newly acquired disk space
One version has built in ZIP, so Backup option means that the files are zipped in Backups directory under the logs directory.
It requires .NET 4.5 , as it uses it's ZIP functionality.

Second version, if You select backup, just copies original files in Backups directory under the logs directory.
It requires .NET 3.5.

Of course, proceed with caution. it is badly written, no error checks and stuff.
It might just delete all Your files, Your dog can start behaving strangely, and beer cans seem to start disappearing...
