OK, I see it. The initial check to see if the game is running is looking for ELiteDangerous32.exe It might be the 64bit now so I'll change it to tell you which version (if any) is running.

Geopan, I think that your issue with the 'filenotfound' is that you have the wrong config directory specified. It looks like you've chosen the directory
C:\Users\George\Games\Elite not so Dangerous\EDLaunch rather than
C:\Users\George\Games\Elite not so Dangerous\EDLaunch\Products\elite-dangerous-64

Clearly the error handling here needs some work :(

Ok, everything works as a charm now. Still it doesn't rename my screenshots. What am I doing wrong?

If you can let me see the output text from the main window I should be able to tell. Are you sure you have the right path specified for the source screenshots?

Thank you for your time. I will try to check it out tonight and give you the answer. Noob question: What is the main window?

No problems.

When you start up the SSC the (main) window that opens has an output text field (as you can see from the screenshot on my first post in this thread). This is the log of what the application is doing (or at least trying to do). If you can grab the text from there (after you've tried using in game) then it will help to work out what's going wrong.

Ok. After I tested it today I got the following:

Exception inimageConvert: The process cannot access the file "C:\.....bmp" because it is being used by another process.

The window output text reads:

... and is currently loading for 15' up to now. I did something... Is my laptop going to explode???

Well, it's hard to know - that output log isn't from my application! That will make it harder for me to troubleshoot :)
Where did you download it from?

I don't know what took me so long, and I see there is an update coming, but I gave this a try. I had some similar errors until I had all the directories specified correctly. It was a little difficult because there are a lot of similarly named files in different directories. Once I got to all the latest Horizons' directories, it is now working, both regular and high res. I just have it copy bmp to bmp and rename, and then delete the original. I tried converting to jepg, and it worked, but I think I'd rather just do that manually for images I want to post.

This is where my log files are located:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Frontier\EDLaunch\Products\elite-dangerous-64\Logs

This is my original pics location:
C:\Users\myname\Pictures\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous

This is where my appconfig.xml file is located:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Frontier\EDLaunch\Products\elite-dangerous-64

These are default locations for Horizons and Win 7.

Anyway, great program that will get a lot of use on my trip to Beagle Point. Thanks. :)

***edit***
One small problem is that if you change the settings they don't appear to be saved until you stop and exit the program. So if you make a change on-the-fly and then the game crashes, which it's doing every 10 minutes today, then the changes aren't saved. But exiting and restarting avoids the problem.
It's time to give this another go.
