Those of us familiar with the TV series THE EXPANSE will appreciate the nod to the M.C.R.N reference of the show.

Ah yes, the MCRN Rocinante, know it well! I read the whole series and to be honest the TV show doesn't really do it justice (but to be fair, shows rarely do).
Chrisjen Avasarala is one of the best characters ever written and had me in stitches, but she was heavily changed for the TV show and watered down somewhat.

Anyway, back on topic. I really do fancy the idea of going out there but I'd want a new commander with an AspX at least. Unfortunately I dont really have time to run two CMDR's (getting anywhere with one takes long enough!).
So maybe in the (near-ish) future, I'll send an alt.

I have a long way to go before I can even consider the trip. Even then, I'm not sure if I would want to go out there with my current cmdr. It's a super long journey for anyone to make.

Not sure if I've understood the question correctly. My only proplem with Colonia is it's so far from the bubble and you won't be able to trade unless you're prepared to travel that huge journey to and from the Bubble/Colonia. I am travelling there now from Sol (almost at Colonia) and it's taken me playing non stop for 15 hours to get where I am now.

The goal of this is to change that. To start populating Colonia, add more stations/ground bases, get trade routes going, etc.

All signed up. I've been waiting for activity to pick up out there to make the trip and now that it seems to be getting some FDev attention for content am excited to be on the cutting edge. Wasn't real keen on a 22ly trip only to get there, get bored and turn around for another 22ly trip back.

As much fun as it sounds, I've too much stuff in the bubble left to do, being so new. I've only unlocked 1 engineer so far. I have invites to 2 others, but have yet to make the trip or meet the unlock requirements. I think a trip to Colonia will have to wait until after I get some decent mods going, or I find out that engineering takes off in Colonia, itself, too.

Well, this certainly sounds interesting. A true colonist a la Farmer In The Sky. But I kind of have my heart set on starting over, so if I do move out there, it think it will be a while.

With further expansions, it would be cool to watch a city build up around the starting port, and more stations and colonized planets being added as time goes by.

Please excuse my ignorance in this but I really need to ask this before making a decision.

Is there anyone planning on moving that own more than 1 ship ? if so, I know you will use 1 for the trip but what about the other ones?

I just don't want to lose all the grinding I did for each of my ships.
