It's a bit difficult to answer that one. If the arena mode is all that's there at the moment on the xbox then we have no info on how it works, how (if) ships used there are available in the 'full' game, whether accounts are usable across both modes etc etc.
I would assume (and this might be wrong) that you will start with a Sidewinder and then progress to an Eagle. How you get credits isn't clear of course.

have till July 26th I think it said to use it.. what sucks is there are no paint schemes for the Diamondback Scout. May have to see if there are Decals
