Two new Engineers ('Ram Tah' and 'The Sarge') have limpet mods, no idea what they do though.

Hello Commanders!

The Keelback is a beefed up, fighter-capable trader, which is why (I believe in the next beta update) we're trying out a few changes: minor increases to hull, shields and hardness, as well as increasing a size 3 slot to size 4.

Hello Commanders!

Just a heads up that the next beta update will see us experimenting with adding a variety of passenger cabins:

* an economy size 2
* an economy and business at size 3
* an economy, business, first class at level 5
* a luxury at size 6

We're also slightly tweaking the number of passengers per cabin.

Hello Commanders!

We have had a little bit more time and leeway in this beta period than we thought, which has allowed us to make moderate balance passes on the Keelback, and now, the Type 7.

Like the Keelback, these changes are not meant to fundamentally change the role of the ship (the concept for the Type 7 has always been a solid, specialised trader), just to enhance their capability in this role.

So, we're giving the Type 7 the following enhancements:

* 40% increase to base hull value
* 30% increase to base shields value
* 20% increase in hardness

Updated slot sizes:
OLD: 2x size 2, 2x size 4, 2x size 5, 2x size 6
NEW: 2x size 3, 3x size 5 and 3x size 6

On paper, these changes look very significant indeed. However, looking at comparisons with other vessels, we *think* that the Type 7 was simply getting a raw deal.

Even with the enhancements, the limited speed, manoeuvrability and offensive capabilities of the Type 7 should keep it firmly in the trading path.

These changes will drop in a beta forthcoming update. We hope you enjoy testing them.

Wtf is hardness, that is as it applies to ED, err - that is Elite Dangerous? :roll:

Is that supposed to be resistance to module damage?

Hello Commanders!

In what is likely to be the final surprise test for beta 2.2, we're making a change to hatchbreaker limpets.

They will no longer be affected by shields.

Hatch breakers, as before, cannot be shot down by point defence. ECMs will still work (and should still work to remove them from the hull).

They will still travel at 300 m/s.

Piracy is a multi-faceted issue, we understand that this is is only a small part of the equation. However, we are interested in seeing what difference pulling this one lever will have.

This change should drop in the next beta update.

Feedback, as usual, will be greatly appreciated!
