very interesting... I personally am excited for something new to do, a higher goal/purpose with a restructured mission system is exactly whats needed to keep me entertained. I've been getting pretty bored lately...

This will definitely change the group dynamic, but it doesn't have to be a negative change...

Trying to get all of Mobius behind one power kinda goes against the whole point of Mobius if you ask me - remember the group motto!

That said, there is enough going on in this that the PvP portion looks like only one part of it, and as a PvE group it seems like we should be able to safely ignore that particular piece of it. Also, I suspect there is a lot more detail to the whole 'attack with impugnity' thing, as in conditions that need to be met so I don't think it'll be as radical as all that.

Ultimately, as a PvE group it seems like we should focus more on those aspects that don't involve shooting the other players, of which it looks like there are plenty.

Did you guys and girls spot this:

"Ask Us Anything
We're sure you have questions, and we want to answer them, so tomorrow you'll have a chance to put all your questions to Frontier CEO and Elite co-creator David Braben in a live Q&A on the Elite: Dangerous forums.
Visit the forums at 16:00 BST on Friday, April 24 when David will host a Powerplay Q&A to answer all your questions about Elite: Dangerous' massive third content update.
We hope you'll join us tomorrow, and we're looking forward to hearing your feedback on the newest ways to play Elite: Dangerous."

So, tomorrow starting at 16:00 BST (will that be at UTC0 +1 then...?) Mr. David Braben will host a "Q&A" on the forums.
That will be the place to log on to if one has something to ask from him :)

Things may need some updating but even in our Private Group there are so many NPCs that will be involved in the Powerplay simulation that I still think we can partake in it and only shoot/engage the solid enemies and skip the outline Group Mates (at least in the Mobius group). I understand if its a crazy Powerplay war zone that could be difficult if there are many player enemies, but we will just have to treat it like a new version of a combat zone and depending on your "side" PVP could be allowed. I'm sure more will come from this and other new features that we have to update the group on as to how to handle it, but we really won't know until its implementation is final or nearly final.

Overall its very interesting and sounds cool! :)

Thank You, qlock!

Finally, (as of now at least), I will try to paste the later Mobius' post on the FD forums and in the thread concerning this very group of ours...:
► Show Spoiler

To "me" all of that means the following:

DON'T PANIC !
But, please be sure you have your towel aboard, and with You

Let "Us" continue discussing the pros and cons of the forthcoming PowerPlay feature of the Elite: Dangerous, let "Us" continue discussing the different angles of approach if "one is a member of any specific 'Player Group non-what-so-ever' and how that might affect their standings/behaviour in the game/anything in relation to the very "rules" of "Mobius PvE Private Group".

For me personally, I think the group policy should stay as is (PVP only in CZ with the established caveats).
If I read PP correctly, if a play enters a system where their faction is considered hostile (at war) then they will appear as a red blip on the scanner to every one who is aligned to said systems faction.

In these cases I don't (personally) think it should result in PVP, perhaps just a bit of light hearted name calling over comms will be sufficient :P

I don't see any reason that the groups policies would need changing. Same as always, don't attack another player out of Conflict Zones. No matter what Power they are associated with.

Honestly if they add companies(guilds or something similar) in game we could join then our own company could become a Power that would be very cool.

We don't know how it will look and feel like so it is a bit of tea leaf reading to judge how the impact will be.

Anyway, I am also strictly against a major group rule change since it has a reason why a PvE group has got over 7 000 members and still a civilized forum with a generally very good and welcoming atmosphere.

BUT I could imagine that besides Xebeth's light-earted name calling, we could well invite other "hostile" CMDRs for fights to make fight posible outside CZs, or set a choice of "to death" or "until run". Which would be entirely based on the honour of the CMDRs taking part so it would really test the level of well-minded  spirit of the Mobious group members -- dangerous, ans already a rule change.

So I vote for first waiting what we actually got with the new features.
